Marjorie Taylor Greene: I Was Raised Catholic, but Wicked Bishops Have ‘Driven Me Away’ from the Church

‘Mrs. Greene's statement about leaving the Church is as enlightening as it is saddening,’ commented Michael Hichborn, president of the Lepanto Institute.

(LifeSiteNews) – Following criticism of comments she made about the U.S. Catholic bishops, conservative firebrand U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene revealed that she was raised Catholic but left the Church “with great sorrow” when she had kids because she had concerns about the left-wing hierarchy protecting abusive priests.

“With great sorrow, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, I stopped attending Catholic Mass when I became a mother, because I realized that I could not trust the Church’s leadership to protect my children from pedophiles, and that they harbored monsters even in their own ranks,” the now-evangelical said in a lengthy statement.

The Georgia Republican was responding to the Catholic League’s Bill Donahue, who slammed her for suggesting in an interview with Church Militant’s Michael Voris that “Satan is controlling the Church.”

“The Church is not doing its job. And it’s not adhering to the teachings of Christ,” she added.

“It’s the Church leadership I was referring to when I invoked the Devil,” Greene clarified on Twitter. “Just so we’re clear, bishops, when I said ‘controlled by Satan,’ I wasn’t talking about the Catholic Church. I was talking about you.”

“The Catholic Church must throw out these monsters instead of lecturing the people its own bishops have driven away,” she continued, blasting the U.S. Catholic bishops as “some of the worst in the world” and “scheming bureaucrats in miters.” It was the “bishops’ wickedness” that drove her out of the Church, Greene said, and her own refusal to “submit the spiritual and physical livelihood of my children to these monsters.”

Greene, who is sometimes referred to as “MTG” (à la “AOC”), went on to say what many faithful Catholics who.......

“Perhaps we have found the source for your reasoning errors: MurphsLaw: ‘We are not spirits... we are not in a spiritual realm.... we are in the flesh until we die, until our Resurrected bodies are in Christ.’”

BINGO.

We are not spirits... we are not in a spiritual realm.... we are in the flesh until we die, until our Resurrected bodies are in Christ.

Wow, you could not be more wrong.

Ephesians 2:4-7 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.

Romans 8:16 The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,

Romans 8:9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

If you don't think you have a spirit, then it's pretty obvious you are not spiritually alive. You need to do something about that post haste.

Where you spend eternity depends on that.

“I just can’t keep all her fairy tales straight. Do you think my story is feasible?”

Well, Mark, since anything is possible in a cult, yes; it’s feasible that she could have thought that. Problem is, she couldn’t have been there ‘cause only sinless people are allowed around other sinless people like those on Jupiter or Bolok or Kolob or what have you, and Adam and Eve were still in a sinless state before partaking.

I got a question about the cult’s belief that EGW went to a planet of sinless people and saw Enoch. Phil told me that all the people on that planet are sinless and don’t need a savior. Well, the Bible never states that Enoch was sinless. So, now, how did he get on Bolok? Did his sinfulness taint those glorious, Christ-like beings? What about EGW’s visit? Did it do the same?

And what if it did taint their planet? What do they do then, chuck loads of bleach and Lysol after their visitors? Will that cleanse the sin from amidst their presence? Since sin has effectively entered their domain, do they then need a savior like as we do?

—> What about EGW’s visit? Did it do the same?

No doubt she brought in to planet Bollocks just as she created a fallen religion on earth.

Her followers elevate her view of scripture above scripture,
elevate her spiritualist visions,
walk around with lapel pins that say, “I don’t eat pork! And neither should you!”

And of course pervert the Gospel of Grace into a gospel of law and works.

All the while bragging that they keep the Law.

“... walk around with lapel pins that say, ‘I don’t eat pork! And neither should you!’”

Bacon. Bacon. Bacon.

“All the while bragging that they keep the Law.”

I wish them all the luck in the world in their striving to keep what Israel couldn’t keep ... even as God was with them and they were (and still are) God’s chosen people upon all the nations of the world. If someone thinks they can do it when Israel couldn’t do it, they’re either being obtuse or they are woefully ignorant. They certainly don’t understand the cross or the gospel of grace.

That said, I plan to have myself a fat and juicy bacon cheeseburger today while thanking God for His grace. 😁

Gal 2:4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

I think you need to study your Bible, but I will be gracious enough to answer your questions.

OK. Where does it say that Adam died spiritually? Where does it say that Adam was innocent? Take me through the arguments because I don’t see them.

Adam and Eve were corruptible, mortal, naked, and blind when they ate the fruit. The change that occurred was their eyes were opened.

We have numerous American fast food joints here, like Burger King, McDonald’s, KFC, Pizza Hut, Jolibees, Goldilocks and Chow King. Just like home. 😀🤗👍

Spiritual etyes. We have an exhibit of spiritual blindness in the SDA cultist's constant shouting in spiritual ignorance.

I was born from above in 1972. Prior to that work by God on my spiritual behalf I read scriptures doing research bu did not grasp the spiritual teaching just the historical data. For lo these many years I have had His Spirit abiding in my come-alive spirit. I have sinned, and I have sought His forgiveness and cleansing. What does He cleanse? Not my flesh, He cleanses my spirit to restore His Grace to my spirit, without ever leaving me or forsaking me.

The issue is spiritual death first, then Adam and Eve died physically, centurioes later. In teaching their children we believe they became saved for the resurrection because they believed God and taught their children the Grace of God. Even Cain believed God, when God told him what his fate would be, he argued that it was more than he could bear, and God responded by putting a mark on Cain. When Seth was born men began again to call upon the Lord, so someone had been teaching them about God and God's plans.

The error in Catholicism and so many other denominations is the failure to perceive the spiritual reality. The Catholics have their mythos regarding mythical purgatory. This myth reveals their lack of spiritual discernment because their purgatory is imagined to be a place of suffering until the flesh is cleansed enough to enter Heaven.

The truth they fail to see is that NO FLESH as we know it will be in God's Presence. He has told us He will transform us int he twinkling of an eye, giving us a new body and soul (behavior mechanism) to fit our eternally alive now spirit due to the Grace of God in Christ activated by our belief in Him and not by any works that we may or may not do.

Sp convinced are Catholics of their myth of purgatory that the hierarchy denies the Rapture! Yet GOD has made that Promise to all He has birthed from above. The birth is a spiritual event not a carnal event. The spirit already exists before the new birth, but it is spiritually dead in trespasses and sins of the flesh.

I believe that is why in Hebrews God says through Paul that the Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword, seaprating soul and spirit ... to give lief to the dead spirit is to make it incompatible with the flesh, the body and soul of carnal living. When Adam sinned God's Spiritual Presence ON Adam's spirit ceased to be there and Adam died spiritually that very day. If you read the account in Young's literal translation you get a huge clue regarding the two modes of death.

“We have numerous American fast food joints here, like Burger King, McDonald’s, KFC, Pizza Hut, Jolibees, Goldilocks and Chow King. Just like home.”

That’s great, brother, but today this BCB is being made at home. A big, fat, juicy one. I have to wash the silverware first, though, because I’m down to using an ice cream scoop for making my coffee and having to stir it with some tiny, tiny jam spoons that get lost in the cup if you drop them. I’m embarrassed to say, but oh well – ain’t never stopped me before, I just used a little heart shaped spoon that came with some dog food can covers. I’m completely out of spoons now. Got a sink full of them with exactly one bowl and two saucers, and zero forks or knives.

The deal is that I got myself a panini maker (fancy way to say “grilled cheese sammich maker”) and I want to use it today for the burger. When I bought it off the internet, I saw some French fries either on a plate or on the panini maker itself in the ad. I thought, “What dumbar$e would try to fry French fries on it?!?” So, I fished around in the deep freezer and found some fries which I subsequently put on said panini maker.

About 10 minutes later, I was enjoying some fries with my movie.

As the saying goes, necessity is the mother of invention!

My Keurig coffee maker is dying. I have found the weakest part is the membrane which allows the pump to switch from filling the heater to pumping the hot water tot he cups. Noting the mudder of invention I have been pluging the air intake when the pump to cup starts.

I don't have a Panini maker but I have an air frier ... and I have discovered lots of ways to use it rather than the large stove oven. Gonna make a cinnamon coffee cake in it today.

That’s how to do it, MHG! Duck tape, Super Glue, epoxy and WD-40. If none of those work, out the door it goes.

It brought tears to my eyes to read about your dying coffee maker, though. I know how it feels and can really empathize on that one. I lost my Bunn about a year ago. There are relatives I would have preferred to lose over that coffee maker.

You’ll have that thing for 10 more years! Plugging holes, taping pieces, patching filters, etc.! What kind of Keurig coffee maker is it, M? Send me a link to one.

OK. Do you mean that it has a regular coffee pot and a side part where a single cup can be made?

The failure of the machine is probably my fault, for not running a white vinegar rinse often enough. Now I do it every other month, which works out to about every 65 cups run through the machine.
