Marjorie Taylor Greene: I Was Raised Catholic, but Wicked Bishops Have ‘Driven Me Away’ from the Church

‘Mrs. Greene's statement about leaving the Church is as enlightening as it is saddening,’ commented Michael Hichborn, president of the Lepanto Institute.

(LifeSiteNews) – Following criticism of comments she made about the U.S. Catholic bishops, conservative firebrand U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene revealed that she was raised Catholic but left the Church “with great sorrow” when she had kids because she had concerns about the left-wing hierarchy protecting abusive priests.

“With great sorrow, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, I stopped attending Catholic Mass when I became a mother, because I realized that I could not trust the Church’s leadership to protect my children from pedophiles, and that they harbored monsters even in their own ranks,” the now-evangelical said in a lengthy statement.

The Georgia Republican was responding to the Catholic League’s Bill Donahue, who slammed her for suggesting in an interview with Church Militant’s Michael Voris that “Satan is controlling the Church.”

“The Church is not doing its job. And it’s not adhering to the teachings of Christ,” she added.

“It’s the Church leadership I was referring to when I invoked the Devil,” Greene clarified on Twitter. “Just so we’re clear, bishops, when I said ‘controlled by Satan,’ I wasn’t talking about the Catholic Church. I was talking about you.”

“The Catholic Church must throw out these monsters instead of lecturing the people its own bishops have driven away,” she continued, blasting the U.S. Catholic bishops as “some of the worst in the world” and “scheming bureaucrats in miters.” It was the “bishops’ wickedness” that drove her out of the Church, Greene said, and her own refusal to “submit the spiritual and physical livelihood of my children to these monsters.”

Greene, who is sometimes referred to as “MTG” (à la “AOC”), went on to say what many faithful Catholics who.......

I’m sure that we’ve hashed this out before? Admittedly, it was years ago. While we didn’t come to any kind of agreement, we at least didn’t condemn each other to damnation and kinda had to agree to disagree.

Anyways, I’ll give you the abbreviated version.

In general, the specifics of A: Jesus declaring all foods clean, B: combined with the 1 Corinthians admonitions of unworthy celebration of the Lord’s Supper being a sin against both the body and blood of Christ, tell us this:

In much the same way that the plunder that Israel took during the various campaigns in the Promised Land was not a violation of the commandment against stealing, so the specifics of any kind of admonition against blood are not relevant to the Lord’s Supper.

1 Corinthians tells us clearly that it is the body and blood of Christ (as well as bread and wine), and so therefore we are obligated to believe that and obligated to partake in it.

Additionally, C: the sacrificial nature of blood has been fulfilled in the sacrifice of Christ, which does only leave the warnings against idolatry.

I’ll get to your second question in a second post after lunch.

Phil,

You’ve been gone for a while...
Were you on an SDA Cruise to Jupiter to see the tall, unfallen peoples who live there?
Did you get Enoch’s signature?
Please share!

Can you explain why you believe in a Jesuit created false theory of FUTURISM with your belief of the PTR?

Can you explain why every PTR believing false teacher, researcher, and prophet is desperate to find any non-existent link to the ECF, Essenes, etc... when the only link is JESUIT FUTURISM directly linked to the false teachers in your seminaries, such as Dallas Theological Seminary?

Can you explain that?

Can you explain why you and the likes of MHGINTN believe in the PTR when literally every single Protestant Reformer who ever lived, rejected it as a Jesuit lie?

Could you share more about your Jupiter SDA Cruise?

Did you like the Jupiterians?
Did you get a neck ache looking up at them all the time?
Did they speak English?
Did you meet Enoch??
Was Ellen there in her retirement home?

Well, OK:

The whole Jupiter thing was a lie Ellen White made up.

All right, one can of cheap-o canned pasta down the hatch; at least it’s affordable. Blah.

As for the Lord’s Supper being taken as often as we do, I’ll simply bypass anything that we might come into theologically, and simply ask: why not?

If Jesus gave us the Holy Supper as a feast of remembrance, why not remember as often as we are able to do so? It’s good for our faith life and it’s good for our cohesion as a congregational body.

Oh hey, look who got bored on the other thread and decided to come harass people on this one.

Think he’ll mock the Word of God again?

As a remembrance I would agree as often as we can. As a function of getting the deity of Christ into us? Nah, NOT SO MUCH.

Maybe keeping the dietary laws is stressful.

And I usually tend to jump in and say it is NOT clear.

Jesus did NOT tell Doubting Thomas to lick his fingers after he inspected Christ's wounds.

Can you explain why you use mockery and gibberish to hide the PTR truth of it being directly linked to JESUIT FUTURISM and the Antichrist Power?

Have you found the time to answer my two questions asked of you long ago:

1) To whom does “thy people” refer in Daniel 12:1?
2) Who is “the Assyrian” referred to in the Holy Scriptures?

Remember? The two you said you would answer if I answered yours, which I did.

As you have pointed out on several occasions, the Jerusalem Council in Acts fifteen gave clear directions regarding consuming blood.

Why would ANY researcher, SUCH AS Ken Johnson or Andy Woods, fail to mention the only ECF’s who ever mentioned the Restrainer of the Antichrist, when giving their opinion of who the Restrainer of the Antichrist is?

Does the law of Christ include the 10 commandments?

—> Can you explain why you use mockery and gibberish

1. The false prophet/medium Ellen White made claims that were gibberish
2. You said you believe her 100%
3. This belief deserves exposure and mockery.

This is the tip of the iceberg of her heresies, which I assume you also believe 100%, since your religion requires it.

That is all.

I already answered your questions, Phil.

I understand the dishonesty from you when you said you’d answer and then didn’t. We both know why.

Can you explain why you still continue to refuse to EXPLAIN the link between your cherished PTR theory and that of FUTURISM? Sounds like you can’t, and so you won’t. Is that the reason? Why do you believe in a Jesuit-based theory? What’s the reason for your gibberish? Certainly there’s as reason?
