Join together with fellow FREEPERS to pray for AMERICA: For those in Authority in Government, Family, Military, Business, Healthcare, Education, Churches, and the Media.

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

FATHER GOD,

Thank You! You give us victory over sin and death through our LORD JESUS CHRIST. (1Corinthians 15:57) We ask, "What happened on Saturday between Good Friday and Easter Sunday?" We are grateful for the glimpses that You give to us in Your WORD.

The DISCIPLES…

“Then they went home and prepared spices and ointments to anoint His body. But by the time they were finished the Sabbath had begun, so they rested as required by the law.” (Luke 3:56)

LORD, we can only imagine the mixed emotions the disciples had after JESUS’ crucifixion. JESUS was dead - the one they hoped was the MESSIAH had been killed as a criminal, and they didn’t understand JESUS’ predictions about His death. We wonder, “Were they were hiding together fearing their fate? What would they do without JESUS?”

The PHARISEES and CHIEF PRIESTS...

It was on Saturday that the Pharisees and chief priests came to Pilate and asked for a guard to be posted at JESUS’ tomb, saying, “Sir, we remember how that impostor said, while He was still alive, ‘After three days I will rise.’ Therefore, order the tomb to be made secure until the third day, lest His disciples go and steal Him away and tell the people, ‘He has risen from the dead,’ and the last fraud will be worse than the first” (Matt. 27:63–64)

LORD, the Pharisees and the chief priests didn’t believe JESUS was coming back. They wanted to make sure His body stayed in the grave.

Blessed be the Name of the LORD!!!

After JESUS cried out, “It is finished” on the cross, (John 19:30). His suffering as the sacrificial LAMB was completed. JESUS’ soul/spirit went to the blessed side of hades. The payment for sin was paid. On the third day JESUS would arise from the dead and return to glory in His ascension.

Let us somberly reflect on today, Saturday – the day between JESUS’ death and resurrection. Let us consider the world of darkness that would exist without the hope of CHRIST’s resurrection. May our hope be that our loved ones and friends will share our hope in JESUS. May tomorrow be filled with the joy of CHRIST’S Victory. May it not be spent celebrating pagan customs.

JESUS said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One. I died but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave! (Revelation 1:17-18)

HALLALUJAH! JESUS holds the keys to sin and death. And just as JESUS ascended into heaven, He will return in clouds of glory! JESUS gives the Victory!

Dear Lord, we beseech Thee to purge the monstrous Satanic evil that has seized control of our institutions and government ! Bring these evil individuals to justice ! Strike down these wicked individuals and institutions that blatantly and audaciously lie to the public about their true (evil) intentions while painting good people as the real enemy !

Do not let these servants of darkness prevail over Your children ! Send forth Your angels to liberate us, oh, Lord ! Hear our cries and help us, please, dear Lord !

Lord, as this is the time of year that many people have some spiritual awareness and at least are willing to attend church, please anoint the lips of preachers everywhere and let them give a clear gospel message to those who need to hear it. Please soften their hearts, convict them of their need for You, and bring them to a place of repentance and salvation, to Your glory.

Lord, we appeal to You... That more people will find church families, will hunger for Your Word, and will no longer be content to attend church just twice per year.

A great light appeared in the abode of the dead!

It was as the sign of Jonah. Jesus descended into the depths of the earth. Not as a prisoner but a deliverer. The whole earth shook as hell was in shock. Satan was bound and the keys of death and hell were taken. Jesus led the captive captive as he spoke to them confirming the promise. The sound of praise from those released shook the earth.
