After all, Satan's bait was that Adam and Eve would become as gods. And together with Satan, that would seem to them to be at least two or possibly three gods (if Satan was believed to be a god as well) against one.

I fully expect to see Adam and Eve in heaven. We know they taught their children Cain and Able to bring gifts to God at appointed times and also that Seth was a Godly man. From Adam on there has been a line of Godly humans.
When Christ Jesus arose victorious from the grave He was triumphant over death and Satan for all time.
We were chosen in Christ before the foundations of the world were put in place. God is in control and has been from the beginning. We may not understand why Satan has been dealt with as he has but it is all in the plan and purpose of God.
You mkae an essential point. Ponder the following, if you will: God’s Spirit IS eternal life.. In Adam the Spirit of God was upon Adam and Eve, like a shawl, not in their spirit but upon their spirits. With the fall of mankind, the Spirit left the spirit presence in the first family. BUT GOD had a plan to put His Spirit IN the spirit of whomever of Adam’s descendants would ask for deliverance from the sin nature they inherited from Adam the progenitor. The human spirit that has His seed ABIDING in it (1 John 3:9) is alive forever more because it is God Who is in them, in their once dedness residing spirit.

Eve "voted," induced Adan to do the same, and "elected" the devil to power. But resulting in a cursed serpent and world and a lesson on testing and deception which we still fail to heed.

You are a subject of esoterically delusion if you think this is about reaching the stars by eating of 12 trees. Penitent repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus, thus receiving His word which is "milk" and "meat," is what results in "reach the stars," meaning being with the Son forever. Christ is the tree of life. Glory to God.
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. (James 1:14-15)
Death was introduced, not being inevitable unless man sinned:

However, "want" can by someone denotes need, and God needs nothing, (Acts 17:25) but in benevolence He wants the crown of His creation to realize fellowship with Him, and reflect Him.
