Dan was more lucid today for a while.
Infection still not under control.
They got him out of bed for first time in a week.

Thank you - yes, he is just so vulnerable & has no concept of how tough his road to recovery will be, maybe just as well.
I will post an update when I go back over there later.

UPDATE:
Dan has come a long way in less than 48 hours!
His delirium is less, I have only heard some random mumbling but otherwise appropriate.
Fever is down but white count still high, over 20K.
NG tube is out of stomach, they will try liquids after a swallow eval.
He sat up in chair for first time in almost 2 weeks.
A long way to go but many praises, thanks everybody.
