November 27, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), America’s largest and most powerful LGBT lobby organizations, is pushing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to target Christian educational institutions, demanding that a Biden Administration strip colleges that adhere to rules and positions opposing homosexuality of their accreditation. The HRC’s “Blueprint for Positive Change,” which offers 85 recommendations, proposes eliminating non-discrimination exemptions for religious colleges if they refuse to abandon the biblical position on marriage.
Al Mohler, a theologian and president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, sounded the alarm on the HRC’s push in an essay titled “A Direct Threat to Christian Education.” The laundry list demanded by the HRC, he notes, are fundamentally transformational. The HRC is demanding that the State Department “include a non-binary gender marker” on identification such as passports and form a panel to explore how the LGBT agenda can be classified as “inalienable rights” and how this agenda can be pushed in international relations.
But the most dangerous proposal is aimed at essentially destroying Christian institutions overnight. As Mohler put it:
The Blueprint states, “Language regarding accreditation of religious institutions of higher education in the Higher Education Opportunity Act could be interpreted to require accrediting bodies to accredit religious institutions that discriminate or do not meet science-based curricula standards. The Department of Education should issue a regulation clarifying that this provision, which requires accreditation agencies to ‘respect the stated mission’ of religious institutions, does not require the accreditation of religious institutions that do not meet neutral accreditation standards including nondiscrimination policies and scientific curriculum requirements.”

Christianity and homosexuality can not co exist. Religious freedom and homosexuality can not co exist. Pick one.
Either homosexual behavior is against the law or Christianity is.

One of the best things that could happen to Christian colleges and universities would be for them to lose their accreditation and all federal funding.

I agree. I'm one of those "libertarian FReepers" and was for gay marriage when it was presented as something that wouldn't be forced on anyone, just allowed by any adults who wanted to call themselves "married".
But as soon as they won that they've used "gay rights" as nothing but a billy club to swing at people who want nothing to do with it. Now I'm 100% against it.

Jesus WILL build His church. and it will just go underground, but it will flourish under persecution as it always does.
I agree as to federal funding but accreditation is a whole ‘nother matter. Loss of accreditation means degrees would not be accepted for graduate studies, for professional associations, for any job requiring a college degree. It would, in other words, render a degree from that college worthless.
The homosexual-queer psychopaths have long despised Jesus Christ and everything He provided to mankind via God’s plan for Salvation.
As Satan’s children, they are on par with the possessed girl in “The Exorcist” and pose a clear and present danger to all that is healthy and good.
The federal govt doesn’t approve or deny accreditation. That is done by state boards od regents and private groups like Middle States Association. Denying accreditation for something like refusing to publicly recognize and approve of homosexual lifestyles would run directly into a confrontation with the First Amendment
That’s true. I suppose I’m speaking more specifically of colleges whose aim is theological training and preparation for ministry. But I have seen Christian colleges and universities make a lot of compromises to achieve accreditation.
Here comes the persecution.
