A Brazilian pastor prayed to God to “destroy the Jews like vermin” and bring about a second Holocaust during a sermon in Rio de Janeiro.
“Massacre the Jews, God, hit them with your sword, for they have left God, they have left the nations,” Pastor Tupirani da Hora Lores shouted at dozens of congregants earlier this month at his Geracao Jesus Cristo church, a recording of the event shows. His congregants are heard repeating his words passionately.

This is an article from the Times of Israel. They are the ones pointing out the pastor calling for death to Jews (that too in a country with very few Jews). I’d suggest writing to that newspaper

Maybe we need to start posting more often what that pope of theirs is up to, although they already have someone taking care of that for us.
Because it’s news from the Times of Israel who seem to think this is serious. It’s not some random website, but a well-read Israeli newspaper. So the question is — why is it so interesting to the Israelis? And the more important question is - what is driving this guy when there is little to no Jewish presence in BRazil, with 120K Jews in a country of 211 million — 0.05% and even in Rio, 0.3%.
And, it seems that a lot of Freepers don’t seem to realize that the term evangelical is also used for Lutherans and Calvinists in other countries.
Since besides the solas and the “born again”, the individual “evangelical” (as per the American definition) groups can believe what they will, so this Brazilian evangelical group can use that term - as do the Oneness Pentecostals
The thing is - a lot of various people who call themselves evangelicals (and that’s an umbrella term for a lot of different, quite often contradictory beliefs) already do so.

As to "no true Scotsman" would say something as stupid as this dude did -- the fact that he said something nonsensical doesn't eliminate that he holds to the basic tenets of the evangelical position - the solas and the born again bit and he's added the anti-semitic and anti-catholic piece.

where the receipt of certain blessings are concerned, particularly the priesthood and the temple blessings that flow there from, but this inequality is not of man's origin, it is the Lord's doings."

When Mormon 'Apostle' Mark E Petersen spoke on 'Race Problems- As they affect the Church' at the BYU campus in 1954,
the following was also said:
"...if the negro accepts the gospel with real, sincere faith, and is really converted, to give him the blessings of baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost, he can and will enter the celestial kingdom.
He will go there as a servant, but he will get celestial glory."
When Mormon 'Prophet' and second President of the Church, Brigham Young, spoke in 1863 the following was also said:
"Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God
is death on the spot. This will always be so."
