Covid-19 has spotlighted the promise and peril of transhumanism, the idea of using AI technology to overcome sickness, aging and death and achieve eternal life.
Ever since the Tower of Babel, fallen man has dreamed, schemed and plotted a way that they could have eternal life apart from the One who created them, that is God. They don’t want to die, no one does, but neither do they care about or wish to be accountable to a holy and righteous God who has every right to demand that from His own creation. Transhumanism is the idea that with enough advances in technology, unregenerate man will eventually figure out how to be immortal. But that will never happen.
It will never happen, because in order to do that through transhumanism, man has to somehow be able to leverage the intellect God gave him, in the body God gave him, while breathing God’s air, while feeling his heart that continues to beat in his chest only because God allows it to, and create an eternity that God is not allowed to be a part of. Did you know that the bible has a name for a place where that will happen? It’s called Hell. Don’t go. Transhumanism offers the illusion of eternal life while blinding you to the truth of the word of God.

How does the author know that transhumaism and eternal life from God aren’t the same thing?

Eternal life cannot be achieved without death. This body (human hardware) cannot enter Heaven/Eternity in it’s current form.

The timing is pretty interesting.
Theres a book called “The Great Mambo Chicken and the Transhuman Condition” that discusses some of the crazies and craziness associated with this movement. A fun if disturbing read. Watch out for the bush robots.
Transhumanism is trying for eternal life apart from Jesus. True eternal life comes only by accepting Jesus’ death on the cross as payment for our sin. Jesus said
“no one comes to the Father except through Me”.
“Thou shalt have no gods before me, except maybbe for the kid from Nazareth. Ye shall worship no graven image except perhaps for the old norse crucifix, and maybe a calf, and interpret certain books as ye may, and my Book shall be rewritten by four guys a couple hundred years after the miracle of the New God, and a couple hundred years before Mohammed, the New New God, and... Jesus Christ, Second Person of the Holy Trinity, is the Physician of man's soul, or inner person. Man is not his body but his soul, which holds the matter of his body together and interfaces with the world through his material brain. We are souls embedded within physical matter, in other words.
Jesus Christ came into this world from the supernatural dimension, or 3rd heaven existing outside of the universe beyond the reach of man's science. He came to offer redemption (healing and perfection) and eternal life to all people who accept the fallen, sinful condition of their inner persons and receive Jesus Christ as the Physician and Savior Who through the healing of souls transforms sinners into New Men who will live for all eternity in Paradise (earth remade) in new bodies.
What trans humanists aspire to is absolute folly, for through AI, drugs, implantations, and so forth, they can never perfect their inner person which remains unchanged, meaning it is in the same fallen, sinful condition bound for outer darkness for all eternity unless they repent and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, the Physician of their souls.
You may repeat your scoffing at your judgement.

I’ll be sure to tell everyone that only yours is the One True God, as well as any others you might tack on there. Spirits, sons, daughters, prophets, whatever. Only yours is the True Way.
Apparently corrupting human DNA disqualifies one from eternal life through the redemption of Jesus for the human race.
Jesus is God, which is why faith in Jesus for salvation does not break the first commandment.
Transhumanism? Is that where cats and dogs identify as human? Or is it the other way around?
