Farmer Dean’s gonna die.
He’s not on antibiotics anymore for the septic infections. None were working.
He’s on oxycodone, morphine and the Fent patch for pain and he’ll be in a hospice soon.
Salvation can you please put up a final prayer request for him. He will likely read it but he knows I’m asking this and he would love to read the posts.
I know it makes him feel better.

:A critical-care physician at EVMS believes he has found something that has eluded medicine for centuries: a cure for sepsis.
Paul Marik, MBBCh, the EVMS Foundation Distinguished Professor in Internal Medicine and Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, developed the new treatment while caring for patients in the general intensive care unit at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Va. His formula consists of three common compounds given intravenously: vitamin C, steroids and thiamine.
Evidence of the effectiveness of this new treatment is breathtaking.
In a retrospective study, Dr. Marik and his co-authors compared two groups – treated in the same ICU – before and after discovery of Dr. Marik’s vitamin c protocol. Before the treatment was available, 19 of 47 patients diagnosed with sepsis died from the disease. In contrast, there were no deaths from sepsis among 47 similar patients who received the new treatment. A laboratory analysis conducted by scientists at Old Dominion University independently confirmed the treatment’s effectiveness.”

Vitamin C:1.5 g IV q 6 hourly for 4 days or until discharge from the ICU.
Hydrocortisone: 50mg IV push q 6 hourly for 6 days or until discharge from the ICU.
Taper is not required.
Thiamine:200mg IV q 12 hourly for 4 days or until discharge from the ICU
Vitamin C:Vitamin C is provided by the manufacturer as a 50 ml vial at a concentration of 500mg/ml.
Three (3) ml of vitamin C will be placed in a 100ml bag of either dextrose 5% in water (D5W) or normal salineand infused over 60 minutes.
Hydrocortisone:
Optional dosing strategy:
Hydrocortisone 50 mgbolus, followed by a 24-hour continuousinfusion of 200 mg for 4 days.
Thiamine: Intravenous thiamine (200 mg) was placed in apiggyback in 50 ml of either D5W or normalsaline and administered as a 15-minute infusion.
