Really where does full of grace equal sinless in the Bible I mustve missed it
“... they think that they will be heard for their many words.”
Why else are the phrases repeated over and over and over and over and over again? Because their church tells people that “they will be heard for their many words.”
Give me 10 Hail Marys. Maybe 20, because ... maybe the Lord won’t listen if you only say 10 of them.
Where?
Put up or shut-up.
The Bible says she is blessed among the women not above women Yoiu are the one that is wrong
Why would you suppose that she can’t or won’t? People on FR ask others to pray for them all the time. I’ve never seen anyone tell them only they can pray for themselves.
Why shouldn’t we ask Mary or the Saints to pray for us, if we can ask our neighbors, friends and family?
“When we ask Her ...”
I’m not trying to denigrate or diminish her, but is she divine?
And, what is the scriptural basis that those deceased pray for those us not yet?
To give Mary prayer devotion and worship belonging to God alone. And spare me your senatics. Worship is worship whatever you call it
................
You should read the Scripture sometime...
We could ask our neighbors, friends and family because they are alive. Mary is dead.
Catholic Mary is a demigoddess.
Above humans, but only slightly lower than God the Father.
They've also made her into "co-redemtrix."
The many words, are an aid to *us*, for meditating during the prayer.
Pondering on the Saints and on Christ is very beneficial.
(It beats, for example, spending all one’s mental energy and fan-club-Ness on the NFL.)
If she is “Full of Grace” as the Bible says, how can she have sin?
He is not the God of the dead, but the living.
Guess Who said that line?
She has been praying for us for a few thousand years. Going all the way back to Moses I suspect. There is only so much one can do in ethereal form. But she has been gifted.
Mary admits her estate as the handmaiden of God and not "Mother of God". Admiting her estate as a handmaiden because God used her instrumentally as a vessel to conceive the Lord Jesus Christ. By Mary s own words, she removes any idea of pre-emanance so as not to assume exaltation above God s calling upon her life. "For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed" [Luke 1:48]. "
i dont know about demigoddess. She is able to hear and answer millions of prayers directed to her daily. She is able to deliver her followers from purgatory and hell. She is queen of heaven and worthy of total devotion . Nothing demi about it.
Here we go with the anti Catholic stuff again.
You seem to have a gift for bringing your hate into a discussion.
I'm RCC. I pray to God. My salvation is a gift of believing in Jesus the Risen Christ. I have accepted the Holy Spirit.
As blessed as Mary is, I don't pray to her to pray FOR us. She died, as do all humans. A holy woman, and blessed vessel for sure. I honor her memory, as I honor any of the Saints. But she's dead and in Heaven. I really don't think the spirit of a mortal needs to hang around listening to other mortals ask for favors. God can handle it. Really. Have faith in God, the Creator of all that is seen and unseen, the Alpha and the Omega, to have the competence to hear your prayers.
