P R A Y E R

Holy God,

You Are the way, and the truth, and the life! (Jn 14:6) “It’s better to be wounded by the truths told by a sincere friend than to be flattered with kisses from an enemy” (Prov 27:6). Let us not be moral cowards in the face of lies, Lord God Almighty. Help us to demand and expect truthfulness, accuracy, proportion and humility in our relationships. Help us to discern the snares of wicked opinion and gossip. Be our antibiotic against viral falsehoods, Father, we pray. Help us to bear witness to You in our words and deeds, for You Are Truth.

May our President, Vice President, diplomats and negotiators be wise as serpents and speak the words you would have them say. We ask Your protection on Mike Pompeo, John Bolton, Jared Kushner and all the President’s emissaries to Korea, Mexico, NATO nations, Russia, China, the Middle East, and upon any conflict against American interests involving our friendly or our enemy nations.

We ask for Your Spirit to prevail in any and all discussions of sexuality. You created us male and female. This is the eternal truth. Let all falsehoods of “gender” be swept aside, especially from vulnerable children. We pray that “progressive” doctors, professors and judges obsessed with indoctrinating and “transitioning” minor children cease to play god, or be stripped of their credentials. We pray Your protection over the 6-year-old child James whose mother has, with the force of divorce court, scheduled surgery to remove this boy’s manhood over his father’s objections.

We pray for truthfulness, factual research and dispassion in our public life, Lord. Although this swamp is so very deep, with You, nothing is impossible. May this mustard seed of our prayers save one life, two lives, even many lives or reputations as we intercede today for our nation. Extinguish the wild speculation, sensational gossip, distortions, political bias and unscientific claims of heathens and cowards in media and government with Your mighty Power, that our Constitution may be saved.

And lastly, may our personal prayers and intimate relationships with our families, churches, communities and our own consciences be truthful and faithful to Your Word, Father God.

Let our news be the Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ!
