If the title looks plain idiotic, it's not. On October 31, many who identify as being believers in Christ Jesus will actually do just that. Their church may have a spooky "trunk or treat" or festival, or a costume contest and they'll take their kids to it. This year the costumes will be even more horrific than the last, but it's all in fun. No. If you or your church participate in the celebration of Satan's day, you are in league with the Evil One and are not truly a Child of the Living God--Jesus. Get yourself and your family out of that church, repent and receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord or recommit your lives to the Lord, and find a church that does follow Christ and teaches the whole Bible. If there is any gathering at any church on the 31st, it should be to pray for the protection and safety of our law enforcement, first responders, our fellow believers, missionaries, our loved ones and thank our Savior that He indeed is coming quickly. My beloved FRiends, I love you in Christ Jesus.
It’s your own voice in that reply, not God’s, offering up Satanic lies. No one has said that’s ONLY Halloween that’s Satanic and empowering Satan. It’s one many things today, most of which the tares and wolves and unbelieving and unrepentant in the church also zealously embrace and venomously defend while spitting on God’s Word.
As for Christmas and “the Easter bunny,” I said about Halloween that I believe some Christians, under God’s direction, might carefully use it as a tool for reaching out to the lost. They shouldn’t, though, be worldly, carnal, self-indulgent parties.
I addressed my reply to everyone who had commented here, after reading all the comments. However you took it is up to you, but looking back again I see that you didn’t have any good, supportive words for Patriot777, immediately tried to accuse me of being a leftist, and using evil language when
I was being critical of the spirit of unbelief that uses it and of “having a log in my eye,” but you had no words of warning for those mocking and scoffing Patriot777 here. That mockery, scoffing and derision is the usual conduct here ANY TIME anyone posts Biblical concerns about the Satanic culture and the church’s widespread acceptance of it. So whose side are you on? I posted originally words to the effect that what your church does I can accept as at least potentially inspired by God, though it has to be prayerfully and carefully under His direction.
The church in America is largely interested in taking God’s blessings and devouring them, and little resembles in spirit the New Testament and the faith pictured in the Bible that Christians are to have. Instead it’s an expert crooked lawyer, like the Pharisees, of carving out justifications for coddling itself and indulging in as much pleasure as possible, and so is massively, 1000-pound plus spiritually obese and unable to do any real spiritual work, and is simply uninterested. And the small number of Christians that are are actually persecuted by the church, even while suffering, persecuted Christians in other parts of the world say that it’s the church here that is truly poor because of how spiritually poor the church here appears to them. This church has too often banished Jesus and brought in the Satanic spirits of Laodicea and Babylon.

So all that is justification for using the language you did and the way you talk to others? I would look at your own motivations first. Someone who disagrees with you is not always channeling satan. And as I said in my original post, no day belongs to satan. The victory has been won and he is already been defeated. Period. I personally don’t care whether people take part in Halloween or not as long as they do nothing to dishonor the Lord. Ceding any day to satan denies the victory that has been won for us at great cost
If you really feel a need to school other Christians whom you know nothing about I would suggest you try to speak what you think is truth in love and leave the profanity out of it.

Why play fantasy football? Why watch Survivor? Because its fun. And, Christians should be allowed to have fun.
Maybe she actually said Halloween, not knowing any better. If so, this is where we need to call on Christ for charity to those who sin in ignorance and unbelief. To such people, Halloween is a human created time of make-believe about things that they believe don’t exist. At one time it was thus to me. Now I am more cautious. I say a prayer in my heart now when encountering Halloween paraphernalia, for God to protect and help us.
Ultimately, the Holy Spirit has to be allowed into control of anything that is to advance the kingdom of God. Sometimes the best thing to do about a situation like Halloween is to refrain from involvement and to pray. And to remember the victory of and in Christ. Even on the calendar it is followed by All Saints Day, celebrating the victory in Christ of all the redeemed of the ages.

Halloween is Satanic, and it’s one of a great many tools that Satan uses, many of which people who profess to be Christians but don’t fear Him or care about His will also say are just fine.
No, what’s really happening is what happened throughout the Bible. People in general, including many who CLAIM to love God and to worship and serve Him actually hate Him and don’t want Him to rule over them. Just as it happened throughout the Bible, they run after other gods, including Baal, and kill the prophets who tell them God’s will. These people, not properly respecting God, twist and distort His Word, taking it lightly because they just don’t respect God. What they want in this life is their god. The Lord isn’t a product. The Gospel isn’t a product. If people won’t respond to the Gospel as the Lord wills for Christians to present it to them, then where they are is beyond the Gospel at that time and the Gospel shouldn’t be destroyed through compromise in order to coddle them and cater to them.
I wrote in my reply to you and others that I believe that Christians can be led by the Lord to use Halloween in a different way, essentially turning it into a different, competing holiday. But I certainly believe that Christians can be led to by the Lord oppose those similar celebrations because of the Satanism at the bottom of the original, and also to speak out against it. What is wrong is to just accept and defend Halloween as it is, dismissing that it’s one of Satan’s many destructive tools.
I agree. And I also support people who feel convicted completely against Halloween, given that it’s one of Satan’s destructive tools. The people who come in on these type of threads, mocking, scoffing and accusing, and showing no regard for God’s will and essentially arguing for cheap grace, are the ones who are serving Satan.
The opening post was faithful to God’s Word and God’s will, while the ones who came in to attack the poster want to justify living for themselves in this life and don’t fear God since they use God’s Word so disrespectfully.
Yes, I do. Even when He doesn’t see things my way. Quite a few people here mocked the OP and accused him of having evil motivations. Do you think that is God’s will? Do you know how much the Bible says about people not wanting to hear what God has to say, and even killing His prophets and His Christian witnesses because their itching ears don’t want to hear God’s Word and their unbelief makes them think they have no reason to fear and respect God? Do you think God is grieved by all the evil that is celebrated in our culture? Do you think that evil has evil consequences? Do you care about helping the Lord destroy the works of the devil? Do you believe that God has better things to offer us than the world if we have faith in Him?
Others have a different view point and a different idea of what God says.
They might even regard the OP and you as mocking God and His word.
After all is not one of the tricks of Satan to make God's rules more onerous in order to cause a "fake sin". In which case rather then your arrogant charges of "not fearing God" they actually do.

But let’s go deeper. The concept “fun” is an artifact of modern society and is meaningless. If we pursue worldly activities to their fullest extent, we find ourselves addicted to something.
