‘It’s your own voice in that reply, not God’s, offering up Satanic lies.’

So my ‘lies’ are Satanic.

Check it up — David did indeed pretend to be a mercenary who ‘hated’ his fellow Israelites. He led his men to slaughter men, women, and children — no Philistine witnesses.

There might be better life examples of trick-or-treat, but ...

GOD BLESSED DAVID up until Bathsheeba.

And Jesus defended an apostle who gathered grain on the Sabbath.

Yeah, that makes me ‘satanic’ to refer to scripture.

There’s no basis for Halloween in what David did, or anything in the Bible can be used to justify just about anything. People do try to do that, though. Halloween today is part and parcel of an entertainment culture that, rather than preparing the way in people’s hearts and minds for God, puts up barriers and strongholds and makes God’s ways and will far more strange and inaccessible to them, and just because the Bible prophesies that the End Times will be like this doesn’t justify Christians jumping in on Satan’s side just for some cheap, worldly pleasures which also don’t prepare them for Christ’s return and life in Heaven. The foolish virgins thought it was enough that they were waiting for the bridegroom, but they really didn’t want to live ever after with him because they didn’t do everything they could to prepare and weren’t concerned about missing him, while the wise virgins made sure they had oil.
