Please pray for Elizabeth, 96 yrs old. She had a fall and a stroke tonight. Nothing broken but she was terrified, did not recognize family, couldn't speak for a while, was afraid of the EMTs. Perked up a little to let them know she will NOT go to the hospital! We called our priest. She knew him (!) and was happy to receive the Sacraments! Some language and mobility returned but she is very frail. She's always been strong in her faith and good-humored. And I was proud when an EMT asked her who the president is, she gave an enthusiastic answer, "Trump!" May God watch over her tonight.
Prayers up!
God bless!
I am praying. My mom is 96 and lives with me, so I know how it goes.
Prayers up Elizabeth! May God be with her tonight.
I have a friend who managed a senior apartment complex and one of her tenants needed an ambulance. When the guys got there they asked her some questions to see how aware she was.
First question was day and time and she didn't know. And then they asked another similar question and she didn't know.
But then, they asked her who the president was and she glared at the guy and said, "I HATE him."
So, she didn't know where she was or anything, but she knew she hated Bill Clinton.
May God bless her with the warmth of loving smiles surrounding her.
Prayers lifted for Elizabeth and her family.
Give her more years.
freepertoo,
God bless you and your Mom, too.
Give her a hug from us at FR!
May The Holy Spirit be with her.
Correct. Trauma and meds are not a good combo for the elderly.
Losing pronouns is common with aphasia strokes. Better to use nouns when talking to her. And slowly.
OH! just remembered. Singing is very good. Uses whole brain. look it up.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.
And may the blessing of God Almighty Father, Son and Holy Spirit
Rest upon you and dwell within you
This day and evermore.
Amen.
Prayers for Elizabeth. May she be healed according to God’s will.
Isaiah 40:31
Thank you, Salvation.
Prayers for her. Not sure if I’ll make it through the snow into church today, but may God bless and keep her.
Prayers going up for Elizabeth and all elderly struggling with declining health issues.
My Mom(Ruth, 90 March 17th 2017) missed the last step Thursday evening and went down on her tail bone, nothing broken but had an impact compression on her second vertebrae.
May The Lord bless and keep her close to His heart and take her comfortably to His side when it is her fitting time. May she have a robust quality of life and relationships until that time. The Lords healing, health and wholeness to her, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Amen.
