Please pray for my father-in-law Ed, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given three months to live earlier in the week. That is why we were not at Thanksgiving today. Ed is a lifelong Catholic but I invite everyone to pray for him. Thank you.
Prayers up.
So sorry. She would want you to stay strong. Prayers.
Praying for all the family.
I will. Prayers for all the family, as well.
Heavenly Father, we lift up 2DV’s father in law into your care. We ask You to comfort him in this difficult time and bring peace and serenity to his family. In Jesus’ Holy Name .... Amen.
2DV, in the little mountain music group I play in, we sing an old traditional song called “Angel Band”. It is telling of an angel band gathering around a wonderful old man at the end of his life, sent by God to bring him comfort, and to play him triumphantly into his eternal heavenly home. Every time we play that tune, I remind the Lord that I hope to see the angel band one day, literally see them there playing their music and welcoming me to that promised reward. May your father in law see his angel band and be comforted, and in the meantime, cherish the precious time you have left with him, don’t be afraid to speak to him of all the wonderful family memories you all share and remind him of how much he has meant to you.
Prayers up.
Prayers up for your father-in-law and the rest of your family. I’ve become good friends with my 87 year old father-in-law and he, too, is fading. He is the last of our family’s older generation and I will miss him when he leaves.
Will do...prayers to you and your family, too...
Prayers for healing for both of you.
