[Pope Francis]: Those Unaware of Climate Change 'Stupid'
ANSA ^ | 9/11/17

ANSA) - Aboard the papal plane, September 11 - Pope Francis said Monday "why do they tarry in becoming aware of the effects of climate change? A phrase from the Old Testament comes to me, from the Psalm: 'Man is stupid'." Speaking at a press conference on his return from a trip to Colombia, Francis said: "he is stubborn".

"Pride...and Mammon too. So many things, so many decisions, so many contradictions depend on money. The pontiff said that those who deny climate change "should go to the scientists and ask them. "They speak very clearly, the scientists are precise. "You can see the effects of climate change and scientists clearly tells us the path to pursue. "And we all have a responsibility, all of us".

In other remarks, Francis said he approved of the Italian government's line on migrants and Libya. "A government must manage this problem with the primary virtue of a governor, that is prudence. What does that mean.

First: how many places do I have? Second: not only receive, but integrate". On migrant conditions in Libya, he said "I have the impression that the Italian government is doing its all, for humanitarian work, to resolve problems it cannot take on (personally)". Francis said he was "grateful" to both Italy and Greece for "opening their hearts" on the migrant issue, and said he had seen "very beautiful examples of integration" in Italy. Asked if an early August meeting with Premier Paolo Gentiloni might explain the Vatican's less unfavourable stance towards the government's migrant-traffic crackdown, Francis said the encounter was "a personal one and not on that (issue)".

His faith in scientists could use a reality check.

Using the Pope’s logic, it would make perfect sense to feed the migration crowd one good dinner, and then work to reintegrate them back into their original society and country. One would not need to travel or spend thousands on smuggler networks, but simply work to grasp their land and what is required to be successfully integrated.

I pity this man, and truly regret the trajectory of the Church. It’s demoralizing.

No one can raise questions about “climate change”, because of course science has nothing to do with asking questions, even of scientific “consensus”. Galileo, Newton and Einstein all questioned the scientific consensus of their day — heretics!

After witnessing the amazing pope John Paul II this guy is a GREAT disappointment :-/

He seems more like a social justice warrior than a pope and also seems to lack adequate intelligence?

I don’t like feeling this way about the leader of the Church of Rome.

Many of the same scientists pushing this global warming crap also state there is no God. What has this abhorrent excuse for a “pope” to say about that? Do atheists also get the “stupid” tag?

Earth’s climate has been changing for about 4 1/2 billion years. 10 out of 10 scientists will agree with that. I’ll also tell you and anyone else that cares to know, mother nature is a ruthless relentless unyielding bitch who is completely devoid of mercy and compassion and who happens to be in possession of countless weapons of mass destruction and the closer you live to her, the more likely you are to experience first hand just what she’s capable of. And if you choose to live next to her oceans, you choose to live next to one of her deadliest weapons.

Just remember in our dark days marshmallow that he is mortal and will die some day.

The Church will go on!

We’ve had worse in the past since the first pope.

We all just need to pray that the next pope follows God’s law and not man’s law.

Cause lately man’s law sucks :)

I can’t even begin to understand how the Pope doesn’t give credit to God for climate/weather since it has been happening since the beginning of time.

So now the Masonic Communist is really angry. What an example he sets for the rest of us! (sarcasm).

Jesus said this:

But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire.

Matthew 5:22

I think it is safe to assume that the Pope is talking about the "man-made climate change" myth, and not the natural fluctuations in climate that have happened for the past few billion years. Since that is the case, I would love to see the Pope's analysis of the supposed scientific evidence of such.

In the scientific world, if you observe a phenomenon, you need to determine the mechanism of it--in other words, how does that phenomenon happen?

While I have seen paper after paper throw in the phrase "because of climate change" after describing an experimental observation, gratuitously adding that phrase does not actually add up to evidence of man-made climate change. Yet the "proof" that many point to that there is a scientific consensus on "climate change" is the hundreds (thousands?) of these papers. If that phrase were substituted with "because of Nancy Pelosi," would that magically make the existence of Nancy Pelosi the cause of everything from hurricanes to the white-nose fungus disease that's killing off bat populations?

I have yet to see it scientific established that there is anything going on in the climate that is outside the normal range of climate variability that has existed for billions of years. I have also not seen a scientific explanation of how carbon dioxide, a gas which is absolutely necessary for life to exist, has such an exaggerated effect on climate. In order for it to have that effect, it must have some unique physical property--and it doesn't. The only explanation I've seen is that CO2 has an unusually wide fluorescent band in the infrared range--and that is no explanation at all. It is irrelevant that CO2 fluorescence occurs in the infrared--the only relevant fact is that whenever a molecule undergoes fluorescence, it absorbs a photon and emits a slightly lower energy photon. The difference in energy remains in the molecule and is eventually emitted as infrared (heat) radiation. And that process occurs in every single fluorescent molecule, regardless of whether the fluorescence occurs in the infrared or the visible spectrum or the UV. Since there are many many types of fluorescent molecule, the fluorescence of CO2 is minor. In fact, it is less than minor: most fluorescence actually converts visible light energy to heat, whereas CO2 is merely converting heat to heat. One could argue that according to physics, CO2 actually has an anti-warming effect.

As far as I know, there are no controlled experiments that demonstrate that CO2 retains a higher level of energy in a system than other gases given an identical energy input.

Atmospheric density, independent of molecular composition, is most likely the greatest physical contribution to the retention of heat on the earth's surface.

Early morning long and complicated physics lesson provided free of charge. :) I'm just seeing if anyone reads this far.

For RCINC it is all about control and finances. Climate change dogma is a method to exert control over members/flock. It is not the first time RCINC used manmade philosophy over spiritual direction to control its members ( think middle ages, indulgences, etc.) More control over flock = more $$. RCINC is the oldest most profitable multinational corporation on the planet

“Two major differences between me and the Pope. I know climate change is a hoax and I know Jesus.”

Agree. The Catholic Church is concerned about dwindling membership. Francis is not doing anything to turn the problem around, that’s for sure. Example; my yard guy and his family, Hispanics, have started attending a Baptist church due to dissatisfaction with their Catholic Church.
