Francis is more interested in leftwing politics than in Catholic theology, George Neumayr, contributing editor of The American Spectator, states talking to Tom Woods on July 14th on tomwoods.com. Woods describes Francis as a result of John Paul II who - as he puts it - appointed "absolutely terrible people" as bishops: "Catholics have suffered under Bergoglios for decades now.
Neumayr agrees that a lot of the liberal bishops were appointed by John Paul II and Benedict XVI. He sees Francis as the culmination of a century of liberalism and modernism in the Church.
For him it is "highly unlikely" that Francis, who in his theology is more a Protestant than a Catholic will convert to Catholicism. Instead, the realistic scenario is that Francis will produce division and chaos, "Catholics will have to decide whether they guard the faith over papolatry.
And: The Cardinals have to declare that Francis is a bad pope who must be resisted.
Thank you for posting the link and the rules; I had forgotten about the mind-reading rule to which you refer.
I apologize.

I apologize.
Cause we see Paul, Peter and others using those so much in the NT.
The RCC has MORE of.
So it’s like, “Luther’s bad and Catholics are worse, so be Catholic, plebs!”
What are you trying to say here??
You’ve been put in timeout! Didn’t know we had a 30 day rule.
For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.
But regarding the fact that the dead rise again, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the burning bush, how God spoke to him, saying, I AM THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, AND THE GOD OF ISAAC, AND THE GOD OF JACOB?
He is not the God of the dead, but of the living; you are greatly mistaken.

“How does it feel to have a bitter hardened heart?
Pfft... I don’t pay attention to attacks by people in a false religion.
My heart is actually quite buttery... and a bit sweet.
Yes its the word, but you are reading it backwards.
The salvation, according to that sentence is through FAITH, which faith is made available by the grace of Yehova.
It definitely does not say that the grace is the source of salvation.
Nice try though!
.
Yes, salvation is indeed a free gift of God. The fact that we need to submit our intellect to Him in an act of faith does not mean that we have earned it by this act. In the same way, because we also need to submit our will to him in an act of love also does not mean that we have earned it by this act. In both cases we are merely accepting the free gift of God. The good works that must accompany our faith are the product of our will, our love of God. Faith, the intellectual assent to God, is not enough.
.
I bet that you can’t even remember what that “ice cream” tastes like!
.
Submission of the will to God is no more "works based" than the submission of the intellect in an act of faith.
Someone is saved as long as they toe the line.
Someone is saved as long as they have faith and love God.
That is NOT salvation by grace through faith.
It is not salvation by grace through faith alone but by grace through faith and works, i.e. through faith and love.
We don't work to get saved and we don't work to stay saved.
We get saved through faith and love. Good works are merely acts of love. But just as faith does not earn us our salvation, neither do the good works which is love in action.
In the parable of the Prodigal Son, the love of the father was always there but the son had to get up and return to the father to benefit from it. In this act of his he did not earn his father's love but only received it. We too in our actions must return to the Father. In doing so we are not earning His love, we are just receiving it.
And the following:
I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. (John 13:34-35)
By grace of God.
By having no contrition for one's sins or by not having a firm purpose of amendment.
If anyone sees his brother sinning, if the sin is not deadly, he should pray to God and he will give him life. This is only for those whose sin is not deadly. There is such a thing as deadly sin, about which I do not say that you should pray. All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that is not deadly. (1 John 5:16-17)Since we are talking about sin that would separate us from God I though that you would have understood that I was speaking of what we Catholics refer to as Mortal Sin (grave matter, sufficient reflection, and full consent of the will). I did not think that I had go into a whole discussion of the Catholic understanding of the differences between Mortal Sins and Venial Sins.
“What are you trying to say here??”
I should never have commented in one of these threads. My faith in Jesus Christ is very personal. My thanksgiving for finding Jesus Christ again in the Catholic Church is endless. I love the Mass & I’m ever grateful to God for the Peace it brings to me & my soul. I’m not an apologist. I never will be. I saw something I know in my heart to be false & instead of just saying a prayer I responded as I did earlier.
I read this & other threads where the bickering, condemnation against Catholic & Protestants just bores me to no end. They reminds me of when in Luke, John & James wanted to call down fire upon some folks who were healing & casting out demons in Jesus name who weren’t apart of their group.
I’m a thankful, happy Catholic convert. I don’t need to justify my beliefs to anyone but Our Heavenly Father & His Son, Jesus Christ. The Blessed Mother is who she is & no manner of argument will ever change that. If you don’t want to ask her to intercede for you, then don’t. I won’t care one bit lol
I’ll remember next time I dare peruse one of these ridiculous discussions to just pray for everyone & move on.
