Both the Catholic bishops of the United States and the Vatican have now virtually endorsed the strategy of “disruption” being used across the nation to oppose the new administration of President Trump. Held in Modesto, California, the U.S. Regional World Meeting of Popular Movements (WMPM), was sponsored by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Vatican’s Department of Integral Human Development to address issues of “land, labor, and lodging,” as well as racism and immigration.
The 700 attendees applauded and cheered as Bishop Robert McElroy of San Diego told them, “President Trump was the candidate of disruption. . . . Well now, we must all become disrupters.” Bishop McElroy, along with Chicago Archbishop Cardinal Blaise Cupich, has emerged as a leading voice among “social justice” Catholics determined to rally the Catholic Church to reject President Trump’s leadership and policy agenda...
With President Trump already well on his way to keeping all of his pro-life promises, it’s shocking that the Catholic bishops would align themselves with such of strategy of disruption and with allies sworn to oppose the core of the Church’s moral teaching. Lay Catholics, and many clergy, across the nation are not merely shocked, but disheartened and beginning to wonder if a formal schism is in the making.

Interesting.....
Maybe the Catholic church should stay our of politics and try to fix their problems at home.
No clergy of any denomination should be fomenting insurrection.
This is nothing short of demonic. What has Trump said or done that has the Catholic Church so afraid?
It very well may be that Satan is in a panic.
Having disrupted and nearly destroyed the Catholic church, these cultural marxists aren’t content to stop there.
Love it - flushing out all of the Marxists, wherever they’re hiding.
God bless and protect Donald Trump, Mike Pence, their families and loved ones, this nation and the whole world. Amen.
Wonder how many priests Milo will identify as pedophiles?
Tax the Church as a political organization.
Bergoglio and all his recent Cardinal picks are part of the pro-abortion wing of the Catholic Church—i.e., the katholyk church. Archbishop McElroy, and Cardinals Wuerl, Cupich, Tobin, Farrell, and the vast majority of American bishops teach that abortion is not a sin. They teach this by giving Communion to pro-aborts. Just as Bergoglio and his disciples are teaching that adultery is not a sin.
Bing for Emma Bonino Pope Francis if you doubt that we have our first pro-abortion Pope.
The pro-abortion Pope and pro-abortion bishops were overtly for Hillary, and they are filled with RAGE that Americans elected a pro-life president.
Catholicism + Marxism = Match made in Hell.
There is nothing more sobering to any Churchman than to see a marked decline in donations.
This probably has very little to do with abortion.
The Catholic Church in CA is being crushed by lack of donations and the high cost of operations.
They are pushing for more Hispanics to come to the USA in hopes they bring more $$$ and skills to donate for maintenance.
Of course this will never be enough to bail out CA churches.
The church has gone to the dark side. I was raised Catholic.
Catholic Liberation Theology
This Catholic agrees with your comments.
Some leaders in the Church have gone to the dark side.
Have 20 people march through one of their services, yelling and holding placards saying “You want disruption, here it is!”
See how much they like it!
I may not be a catholic anymore.
Like Labor Leaders the US Conference of Catholic Bishops will march at the head of a very small parade when they oppose Trump. 60% of actual Catholics voted for Trump - this guy can keep the illegal aliens that stabbed the Church in the back for a loaf of Democrat Welfare cheese.
You are so right. My husband and I have stopped giving to the Church on every level - parish, bishops’s appeal, etc. Money talks.
I went to Catholic schools, but dropped out of the church when I enlisted. I was non practicing for 40 years. Got back in five years ago when I moved here and retired. Belong to a conservative Catholic Church with a conservative priest. Held a March for Life through town recently. I believe the subjects in this story, like the current pope, is an aberration.
