I believe we are seeing in our world right now what can be described as the foreshocks of Armageddon. We are seeing these foreshocks all around us. Jesus said that in the last days, we will hear of wars and rumors of wars (Matthew 24:6 NKJV). And it seems today that at every turn, there is a new conflict.
ISIS is creating chaos in the Middle East, North Africa and Nigeria, and they only continue to grow. Syria is effectively under siege by ISIS. And in Iraq, about one-third of the country is now reportedly under ISIS control.
Meanwhile there is Iran. They are a nation bent on getting hold of a nuclear weapon, which on more than one occasion they have threatened to use on the United States and Israel. In addition, Iran funds proxy groups like Hezbollah and Hamas to engage in acts of terrorism.
Then there is Russia, which seems to be getting as aggressive as it used to be. Now we see China beginning to grow as well, wanting to dominate Southeast Asia and developing its military in a dramatic way.
Meanwhile, NATO appears to be doing nothing.
So what does all this mean? These are wars and rumors of wars. And I believe they are foreshocks of Armageddon.
Im not the only one who thinks this, by the way. The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, which maintains the Doomsday Clock, moved it to three minutes to midnight on Jan. 22 of this year. In a message to leaders and citizens of the world they said, Unchecked climate change, global nuclear weapons modernizations, and outsized nuclear weapons arsenals pose extraordinary and undeniable threats to the continued existence of humanity, and world leaders have failed to act with the speed or on the scale required to protect

Christ said that wars and rumors of wars was not the end... The end happens after a fake shows up selling peace, peace, peace. Who will be against peace? Deception is the tribulation, not a war of flesh bloodshed.
Not to mention the heat wave in So. Cal.
Matthew 24:36 ESV
But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.
Not the "day or hour," but I guess you'd have to admit its considerably closer to that time than when it was first stated.
The “wars and rumors of wars” doesn’t really impress me at this point. There have always been conflicts going on all over, many a lot worse than today. It is the inversion of good and bad that is the semaphore for me, signalling the time when wickedness is celebrated and elevated and goodness is punished.
Unchecked climate change? I am shaking in my boots.
This is so deceptive and Greg should know better as a pastor. He is only doing this to attract attention, nothing new. What about this verse Greg? Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. 2 Thess: 2:3. Did you forget that verse?
Maybe, but humans have been saying that for centuries.
That’s why I fall back to that passage, and don’t sweat it.
God and I are on good terms, we communicate frequently, and I have accepted that His Son died so I could be saved.
Beyond that, since there’s not a thing I can do when it occurs, I plan on living life (what’s left of it) to the fullest.
Actually, this is because the 'end' is not 'set' for a certain day.
It is set for a CONDITION.
Any comments about Matthew 24:29-31?
Matthew 24:29 - 24:31
Now viewing scripture range from the book of Matthew chapter 24:29 through chapter 24:31...
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
I can see things getting so bad that a “person” rising up offering peace and tranquility and food and water and air conditioning, etc. getting a lot of followers. As Christians we must recognize that we must have missed the tribulation and will pray for strength to reject the anti Christ and hope to catch the next flight.
Mat 24:42-47
(42) Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
(43) But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
(44) Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
(45) Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
(46) Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
(47) Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

2 Timothy 1:7,8 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord"......"...for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." Revelation 19:10
They don’t forget it. They ignore it because it doesn’t tickle their ears. Same with Revelation 20. Many will fall away because they are not prepared.
I just want to retire in 24 months 25 days.
For some Christians around this earth, things are already as bad as it gets in flesh bodies.
I believe I posted twice about my relationship with God, and My acceptance of His son as my Savior.
So I should also sit around and worry and stew that the “end” is coming?
Sorry, I am an eternal optimist, as well as a happy Christian.
You speak words of wisdom.
