The largest Presbyterian church in the Lehigh Valley has begun a process that could lead to a split from the most visible national denomination — a move initiated after a survey showed most of its congregants disagree with church positions, including those allowing same-sex marriage and the ordination of gay ministers.

Oh, and if they headed to anything other than the ECO they would land in the EPC. Doubt any of them would go to the OPC. It is feasible that a couple defectors from the PC(USA) may go PCA.
Bible says they won’t.

And the Bible settles it.
They never truly believed.
Romans 30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.
If my salvation depended on my weak and feeble spirit I would have been gone long ago.

But the Bible says they did. I’m just telling you what it said. It speaks for itself. I never argue with Scripture because I always end up losing.
But the idea that you are Saved until you were never Saved is simply not logical.
Your passage says they “tasted.” Anyone that comes in the church on Sunday morning can taste salvation..Doesn’t at all mean they drank deeply.
The verses I shared, and a lot more show we will not be allowed to fall away.
They abandoned the faith. That’s what it says.
I dont take joy in people falling away from salvation. We should weep for every single one.
Churches today, both Cath and Prot, must have havens for retreat, for contemplation, when leadership fails them...it could hardly be called falling away from salvation if one seeks a more pure and sustaining worship...

How had begun a good work?
Who was the good work began in?
Who will bring it to completion?
No modifiers, not if you do your part, God will do His. He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion
It says what it says. I don’t argue with Scripture.
As does this:
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. (Phil 1:6)
True churches are those who stand on the inerrancy of Scripture.
1. Virgin Birth of Christ.
2. Death, burial, and resurection of Christ for the atonement of sin
3. The offer of free salvation to those who call upon His Name.
4. His imminent return for His own and ultimately to create a new heavens and a new earth.

BS. These people spend half their energy stirring up racial animosity, and that is only when they are not crying about "gender" issues.
I suspect that we are going to see a lot of this as local congregations take a look at what their denominations' stances are on this issue.
But if they haven't left by now, what might possibly push them over the line? A little Moloch altar in the sculpture garden, at denominational headquarters?

The most recent spinoff from the PCUSA. When I looked at their website last, it was easier to find information about employee insurance programs, than confessional documents.
My judgment at that time was, it's basically PCUSA, but without sodomite clergy.
