In 1 Thess 4;1-8, God draws a line in the sand. Whoever rejects his commandment against sexual immorality has rejected God. This applies to hetero and homo immorality.

"Someone who defines themselves by the very sin they commit cannot be a Christian." Excellent point.

A sincere Christian homosexual is not a practicing homosexual.

No. A practicing Christian keeps the Ten Commandments and obeys the Pope in relation to revealed doctrine (the Bible).

Maybe the better question is - "Can someone with same-sex attraction be a sincere Christian?"
I would think the answer is yes- for all the reasons you state in your thought-provoking post #21.
Conflict over this issue occurs when gays want to have their sin removed from the Bible, and order Christians to accept their sin.

No more so than a practicing liar.

If you listen to the OSAS (Once Saved, Always Saved) crowd, sure, a practicing homosexual can be a Christian.

“Can someone in a non-married sexual relationship be a Christian?”
What about a divorced person who remarries? Aren’t they committing adultery?

You said....”The reality is, Jesus didn’t condemn homosexuality by name in the Bible”
The Bible refers to it as an abomination as you know.
Jesus is The Word, he was in the beginning with God, is in fact God.
Thy Word is truth...anything and everything in the Old/New Testaments is approved by God/Jesus

It is never a waste of time to hear what Ravi says. He is a Christian apologist of extraordinary talent.

So, if he doesn't use that particular word its okay? Had you bothered to read and comprehend what I wrote, I clearly didn't write "it's ok." I simply cited the example Christ left us with to show it is in fact, NOT ok.
