"I feel like saying something that may sound controversial or even heretical. But there is someone who knows that despite our differences we are one. It is he who is persecuting us. It is he that is persecuting Christians today; he who is anointing us with the blood of martyrdom, knows that Christians are disciples of Christ. That we are one, that we are brothers! He doesn't care if they are Evangelicals, Orthodox, Lutherans, Catholics or Apostolic. He doesn't care! They are Christians."

Some Mormons are all hat and no cattle. You have posted the proof he/she is not even versed in his/her own church history, so don’t expect much from such an one except denials and scoffing and haughty bluster.

No it's not. It's a way of saying that Abraham believed God and God considered him righteous because of it.

Only if you project that meaning on to it, because the text certainly doesn't say it.

As I said before....Mormonism and Christianity are not compatible as we do not agree on who Jesus is.

And I'm not going to disagree with you. My doctrine is not your doctrine. My doctrine will never be the same as the Nicean churches.

The Bible teaches Jesus has always existed and always will exist.....In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God (John 1:1).

No, that's your interpretation of the Bible. God has no beginning, so when John says "In the beginning" what do you think He's talking about? That denotes the start of something...Jesus was there at the beginning of???

According to you, John was teaching a heresy. Mighty bold of you.

Let’s be clear on how Mormons feel about Christians.

Why the big fuss, just look up the Pearl of Great price

God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith Jr. in Palmyra, NY, in 1823 as an answer to prayer.

"19 I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: “they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.”

20 He again forbade me to join with any of them; and many other things did he say unto me, which I cannot write at this time. When I came to myself again, I found myself lying on my back, looking up into heaven. When the light had departed, I had no strength; but soon recovering in some degree, I went home. And as I leaned up to the fireplace, mother inquired what the matter was. I replied, “Never mind, all is well—I am well enough off.” I then said to my mother, “I have learned for myself that Presbyterianism is not true.”

It seems as though the adversary was aware, at a very early period of my life, that I was destined to prove a disturber and an annoyer of his kingdom; else why should the powers of darkness combine against me? Why the opposition and persecution that arose against me, almost in my infancy?"

Now does that have the sufficient shock value you were looking for?

Oh, you mean the corrupted and co-opted PoGP?

Yeah, funny. I was talking with a Mormon and they brought up the PoGP wanting to know if I understood it’s meaning or if I was even aware of it.

I told I know about the PoGP. What Christian doesn’t. It’s one of the 3 great parables.

He was immediately incensed and demanded to know what I was talking about.

Not knowing any better, at the time, I informed him about the great parables and that all Christians are familiar with it and it is in Mathew 13.

I don’t recall his exact words but, he basically went on a rant about me and everyone else being against Mormons and the PoGP “Is Not in the Bible!!!”

Perplexed I opened my Bible and sure enough the 3 great parables were still there, intact.

So, not sure what your intent is in posting that passage from a book that is in a every sense “plagiarism” and you are lucky the Marvin Gaye family doesn’t sue LDS for that reason alone.

Joe was on a payote high when he had this “vision” btw...

Joseph Fielding Smith said, "They tell us the Book of Mormon states that Jesus was begotten of the Holy Ghost. I challenge that statement. The Book of Mormon teaches no such thing! Neither does the Bible." (Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 1, p. 19).

{Uhm, hello!!?? Alma "said" it. Alma 7:10}

Wrong! That is in fact NOT what Alma is saying.

You guys love to project your own meaning on our doctrine then yell "LOOK AT THIS!" It's actually quite comical.

Alma 7
10 And behold, he shall be born of Mary, at Jerusalem which is the land of our forefathers, she being a virgin, a precious and chosen vessel, who shall be overshadowed and conceive by the power of the Holy Ghost, and bring forth a son, yea, even the Son of God.

Jesus is the Son of God the Father through the power of the Holy Ghost. How exactly Jesus was conceived has not been revealed. But we do know that Mary had a natural normal pregnancy and the baby Jesus grew inside her just like every other baby does.

No one claims that actual sex was involved -like the lying anti-Mormons like to claim.

What we do know is that Jesus had the correct number of chromosomes as any human and half belonged to Heavenly Father.

Just when you think you heard it all.

I wonder what book of the NT the account of the disciples being baptized into Catholicism is in.

I am not sure, but it might possibly be in the first gospel of Antiochus Epiphanes, to the lost sheep of the house of Nimrod. On the other hand, I heard a rumor it could have been a collaboration between the men of Ninevah, and the Queen of the South. I mean, I heard they will rise up and condemn someone, so maybe we have to trust their judgment on the subject. I mean, I heard they were all great RCC theologians and historians, so I think they would tell us the truth, right? 😂😱😎

LOL. It's hard to figure out whose beliefs are farther from the bible.

I don't know, one of the them is out in left field, the other is out in the parking lot, but I will leave it up to you to determine which. 😎

Its my hope you come to know the real Christ.

Thank you, that's mighty kind of you.

However, I know the Christ as taught by the Nicean churches. I was raised in and at the age to 15 baptized into a Southern Baptist Church. I was every bit an Evangelical. I went to church twice on Sunday and once Wednesday night.

I was raised to distrust Mormons too, just like any good Southern Baptist. Hey, it is what it is.

As a matter of fact, I was on my way to stop a friend of mine from joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I had my Saul moment.

The Holy Spirit softened my heart and I had a very distinct and powerful personal revelation. I heard a very calm soft voice telling me that the restored Gospel was true.

It was so powerful in fact, I met the missionaries on Wednesday and was baptized that very Sunday.

So I know first hand what you have and I know what I have now. There is no comparison.

Yes, I know and have a very deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Do you know why works are so important? And not just any work either. The Church is the vehicle that God uses to prepare us to meet Him. The works that the Church provides, if done with the right intent in our hearts, builds faith.

The more obedient we are to the works of God the more faith we build. Until through constant repentance and obedience to the Savior, that we have perfect faith in Him.

This is why through time it has been recorded that people are able to talk to the Lord face to face. Abraham and Job for examples.

That's the problem with these Nicean churches. They don't build faith. They don't know how. Preaching at someone doesn't build their faith. They leave people in a stagnate state believing they have salvation right this minute. But in fact are simply not prepared to stand in front Jesus Christ. And with very little actual knowledge of God at all.

It's my hope that you come to know the real Jesus Christ too. :)

I’ve already posted from Mormon sources how Mormons wrongly believe Jesus was conceived.......and there were more to pull from. So let’s not play this “Mormons don’t know game.”

Dude, if you're arguing from a Mormon perspective this is a whole different conversation. Mormonism and Christianity are two different belief systems. One false and one true.

Yes, Mormonism is a false religion. It is tough to carry on an intelligent conversation with Mormons, because they engage in Mormon speak (cult speak) and their terms have a totally different meaning. When we say Jesus Christ, God, salvation and faith, the Mormons think of things that are not even close to the truth. It is indeed like comparing apples to Honda's. We can't even agree with Mormons on our definition of certain words, so dealing with them can be difficult. More power to those who witness to Mormons, but I won't do it, unless they leave the BOM, and their false definitions outside.

You can pull what ever you like, makes no difference. You're projecting your own desired meaning...period.

No LDS leader has EVER said God had sex with Mary. Ever. It's not there.

So do me a favor and stop trying to tell me what I believe. I think we have a better understanding of what our leaders have taught than an outsider. Thanks.

Dude....it's clear as day. Sorry the truth of Mormonism is a problem for you. You can keep denying all you want. The Jesus in Mormonism is not the Jesus of the bible. The Jesus in the bible did not have lucifer as a brother.

There is so much that is wrong with Mormonism.

The Jesus in the bible..

You've not once mentioned anything about prayer or going to God for the answer. You just keep insisting that you're right because you say so.

When you have to start bashing my Church because you have no message of your own, well that should be a red flag.

God hasn't spoken your Nicean churches ever. Not once in 2000 years, why on this earth would I trust you to know the truth about anything?

I mean if God doesn't trust you, why should I?

Mormons mistakenly believe they must earn eventual salvation.

Don't most, if not all, works based false religions, do that in one form or another?

.

The Bible teaches that Yeshua, the son, is eternal, not a part of time/space.

John 8:58

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

The son existed eternally before he was born into a human body.
