My wife, Tina passed on to be with Jesus in glory one week ago today. As my sister in law aptly put it "there now remains a Tina shaped hole in our souls and we mourn her loss" but I take hope and peace in knowing that she is in a far better place now. She is free from disease, pain and sorrow and I await the day when we are re-united.
After a 2 year battle with malignant melanoma she suffered a stroke about 2 months ago which robbed her of movement and most of her speech.
She loved the Lord Jesus and sought to serve Him faithfully. In the 32 years that I had the privilege of knowing her I observed her faith to be steadfast and consistent. She and I ministered for 6 years in overseas missions teaching the Bible to people in a small Bible school run by "Youth With A Missions". Laterally she was fundamentally involved in establishing and running our small business.
We would have been married for 30 years this coming August 31. She will be sorely missed as she was my life, heart and soul, business partner, confident and very best friend in this world. My future is a dark unknown. I am only 53 years old. Yet I cling to my faith in Jesus and the comfort found in God's word.
Tina was a staunch conservative with deep beliefs in conservative principles which sprang from her convictions found in God's word and our countries founding fathers and writings. She loved to dig in here at FR and talk through all the topics of the day.
I was beside her nearly constantly these last 8 weeks and watched as she declined. I sat beside her praying and holding her hand up to and at the final moment when she exhaled her last breath. I thank God for Jesus' promise that he will continue to watch over her and that I can rest easy.
Au revoir Tina, my lovely lady, my friend and constant companion, my true love. You surely shall be deeply missed.
Your devoted and loving husband.
Andrew (Justice)
May God bless her sole. I pray for her and your family in time sorrowing time.
The arms of Jesus is a pretty good place to be :-)
Best wishes...
I am so sorry for your loss and prayers are headed your way.
Please remember that you are still here for a reason my FRiend. While not directly related, I lost my father 5 years ago and I had that scared, bleak feeling you described. It’s natural. We are all only human. Saying goodbye to someone you love dearly takes a piece of you.
Still, there’s work to be done. As you begin to heal from your loss, you will see that. While you’ll never be the same, you WILL find a way to move forward with purpose. You will discover that. Until then, please know she’s safe and free of suffering ... and I’m sure she’ll check in from time to time when you least expect it. There’s so much more to this life than what we perceive through our 3 dimensional viewing apparatus :-). Just don’t give up on your journey.
My sympathies for your loss. It sounds as though you two were tightly bonded, even in the spiritual sense. You will have to get used to new routines. Just take your time when given the choice.
You learned what many of us still don’t know, or have forgotten, which is one of the best parts of love is when you trust the person enough to give your love away without fear or hesitation. It can feel as though a high dam has finally burst, and all the love or tenderness you held behind protective walls has been allowed to flow freely, to crest and to ebb as is natural.
So sorry for your loss. May God bless and keep you. His is indeed the Peace that passes all understanding. Love and prayers to you and the family.
Sorry for your loss.Praying God will bless you until the day you are reunited with your wife

Beautiful words and sentiments. I’m sure that Tina is smiling down from Heaven. Prayers lifted up for your and your families’ peace in this time of loss.
God bless you, Justice. So sorry for your loss. May she RIP, and may God grant you solace and peace.
Prayers your way.
An amazingly beautiful post obviously inspired by the sort of love that poets try to touch with words, and as touching as anything I’ve ever read. She must have been quite a lady.
God bless you both.
