Pope Paul XI on Mary as mediatrix....and a bunch of other stuff. With her doing this she has replaced the role of the Holy Spirit. Pretty soon catholics will have her replace Jesus....it's coming.
This maternity of Mary in the order of grace began with the consent which she gave in faith at the Annunciation and which she sustained without wavering beneath the cross, and lasts until The eternal fulfillment of all the elect. Taken up to heaven she did not lay aside this salvific duty, but by her constant intercession continued to bring us the gifts of eternal salvation. By her maternal charity, she cares for the brethren of her Son, who still journey on earth surrounded by dangers and cultics, until they are led into the happiness of their true home. Therefore the Blessed Virgin is invoked by the Church under the titles of Advocate, Auxiliatrix (helper), Adjutrix (benefactress), and Mediatrix. This, however, is to be so understood that it neither takes away from nor adds anything to the dignity and efficaciousness of Christ the one Mediator."Vatican II, Dogmatic Constitution on the Church, Lumen Gentium, Solemnly Promulgated by Holiness Pope Paul VI, Nov. 21, 1964 , #62

CCC 2679 Mary is the perfect Orans (pray-er), a figure of the Church.
When we pray to her, we are adhering with her to the plan of the Father, who sends His Son to save all men. Like the beloved disciple we welcome Jesus' mother into our homes, for she has become the mother of all the living. We can pray with and to her. The prayer of the Church is sustained by the prayer of Mary and united with it in hope.
That's from the catholic catechism....have you guys even read the thing? I wonder sometimes if catholics really know what their church teaches. They've written so much stuff on Mary it's hard to keep up.

Lately I've noticed that Mary is more prominent in Catholicism than Jesus.
- How many times have you attended Mass in 2014 ?
- Were you baptized as a Catholic ?
- If people were insulting your mother than perhaps you would rise to her defence.

>>when the Archangel Gabriel said she was Full of Grace.<< Why do catholics persist with this false translation when it has been shown and explained this is not how the greek records it nor is it how it should be translated?
I'm really curious.

Do you deny Mary is the mother of Emmanuel ? Do you deny Emmanuel is "God with Us?"
My Prayer to Our Mother Mary
Hail and praise be unto thee, Mary, whom God Almighty has exalted above all of his other servants!!
God has entrusted us unto your care and graciously grants any request that you make of Him on our behalf, if it is in accordance with His Divine Will.
Our hearts burn with zeal as we honor you, Our Mother.
We love you as a child loves a mother and you love us as mother loves her children.
Please guide us, your little ones, to our Eternal and Almighty Father God through our prayers and through your love for us.
Many in this world may slander and degrade you while still claiming to exalt God, please forgive them and pray for them for they may dishearten your devoted children.
May we be made worthy of the promises of Christ through your prayers.
You love us so freely and we are so unworthy of it.
You love us because God and Christ loved us first.
Mary, Mother, I love you.
Amen.

>>Well, it was only an exact, word-for-word quote of your post #255, and a response to that post.<<
Your response had nothing to do with what was being discussed. We were NOT discussing whether Mary was blessed or not. We were discussing ONE verse and what the original Greek documents say IN THAT ONE VERSE.
NO ONE is disputing that Mary is blessed.

That is also a strong possibility at least in this day and age. I think we can rest assured that if remains were found the world would never hear about it.

AJane is the mother of Art.
BArt posts on FR.
Ergo: Jane is the mother of a Poster.
1) Is there a logical error in the above syllogism?
2) Does the above syllogism logically imply that Art is biblically literate?

“Weve been through that vlad. You need something new.”
Show me the post where you said, “Yes, I wore a exchanged a wedding ring at my wedding ring, and vows, bride wore white, etc”. If there is no such post, then we’ve never “been through that”.

“The term *mother of God* does not even address Jesus.”
Sure it does: Jesus IS God. That’s who Mary is the mother of.
To: Arthur McGowan
Where does Scripture say that Mary is not the mother of God.Why do Catholics CONSISTANTLY ignore this verse:
1 Corinthians 4:6
Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying,
"Do not go beyond what is written." Then you will not take pride in one man over against another.

I’m sure you do.
“You are wrong.”
Not even remotely.
To: Arthur McGowan
...any Scriptures you may cut-and-paste having to do with Jesus and Mary are totally irrelevant. NOW we are getting somewhere!

“Which again is something i just affirmed, and which does not refute what i said”
Except to show your point is moot.
“any more than your other attempts at damage control refute what was said.”
I made no attempts at damage control.
“Give it up.”
No. I was right - all along.
