Dad is going in to the hospital tomorrow for treatment of atrial fibrillation. They are going to try to shock his heart back into rhythm. If that doesn't work it's a pacemaker.
Dad is 87, an Army Vet, wounded in an explosion in 1946 in the Phillipines while the US was supporting the Phillipine gov't during the Huk rebellion after WW2 .
Mom and my sisters are upset.
He's the most honorable man I've ever met and he and Mom are my best friends. They've been married 64 yrs.
I join in urgent prayer for your dad!
Offering prayers for your Dad, you and your family.
FAther, please guide the medical team as you ease the fears of the family. Hold them in your healing embrace. We ask in Jesus Name. Amen
Prayers lifted for your Dad Eagle.... We have a great God... a healing God.... Never lose faith....
The Holy Spirit will be comforting and praying for you with words we can’t understand. Romans 8:26-27
Lord Jesus our Savior be near Thy servant and his family in the time of his trial.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen.
Prayers sent.
You do not know me from Adam, but prayers are going up for your dad. AFib is not pleasant. DH had a pacemaker to control for several years (until the wires caused an infection) Fortunately, it was long enough and miraculously he was able to have the pm removedand infection cured. No more A-Fib I, too, suffered and now on the recovery road after an mitral valve replaement at which time the surgeons ‘scarred the heart’ Now on meds which might soon be gone but no pm involved. Good luck to both you and your dad.
Done. Lord hear our prayers for Eagle’s Dad.
Prayer has gone up for your dad.
Your father and your whole family is in our family’s prayers!

Prayers for your father’s successful treatment and full and speedy recovery.
Thank you all for your prayers. I know they’ll help. I’ll update this evening.
Best wishes for successful treatment. A pacemaker isn’t the end of the world; my father had one for nearly ten years.
Prayers up.
I’ll be saying prayers throughout the day, Eagles6. I will also pray that Our Lord comforts your Mom and sisters. I know that kind of fear and it is painful. Prayers for you as well... I suspect you are the rock that everyone is leaning on now. Hugs, Mom
