Ill call him Fr. John. He was a charismatic Anglo Catholic priest.
A friend of my brother Daryls well call Henry died suddenly in a plane crash and he was upset because although Henry was a believer he was away from God when he died.
So Fr. John said, We have to have a requiem Mass for Henry.
They went into church and locked the door for privacys sake. Another priest well call Fr. George celebrated the Mass.
Henry was about twenty years old. He was just over five foot tall with a shock of blonde hair and a wide face with freckles.

That is so cool. Our Pastor just discussed the new wine - old flask subject recently. Interesting post.
I am Santa Claus.
I think your corn has a little “funny-weed” in it. :o)
I don’t know about the novel “Poltergeist,” but “The Exorcist” is based upon an actual event that occurred in Mount Rainier, Maryland. See — http://blogs.weta.org/boundarystones/2014/01/14/real-story-behind-exorcist
I first heard about this before the movie came out from a priest at college when I was working in the college library, I don’t recall how the topic came up, but he knew the senior priest in the story. 30 years later, I met a Catholic Deacon and the topic of exorcism came up and I mentioned Fr. Kaiser telling me about the real ‘Exorcist’ incident, and discovered that this Deacon knew the younger priest. And he said that the younger priest has “been haunted” by the memory of that event ever since.
I believe in demonic possession, but I do NOT believe that people with psychic gifts from God are automatically demonic, that determination is based, in my view, on do they use their gift for good or evil. See my earlier post # 59 on 1st Cornithians, Ch 12.
I think there is also the chance that the soul of some remains there as well. See Zot’s reply to my post # 79 in his post # 117.
Yeah, and Catholics need to stop doing that.
Italicized comment case in point.
Much more likely than seeing dead humans roaming around.
In Asian lore, the dead still wait for 49 days to get into the after-life or whatever.
I saw a ghost cat once.
A cloak is proof?
Really?
And it's still vibrant blue?
Would that be like all the dead allegedly uncorrupted bodies of saints that are waxed and tweaked to look like they're still alive?
With the Catholic church's history of fraud in its claims about the incorruption of its relics, I can't for the life of me understand why someone would believe anything they tell anyone about *relics*.
I also find it quite amazing the proofs presented...not very convincing if you ask me..especially this happening 500 years ago and a cult like personality has developed over it...
I actually did not know the history of Fatima", that's why I asked in the first place
Can you give me a Biblical cite for this?
“Of course, in literature and film (think Poltergeist and The Exorcist), the evil forces enter through the child because the child is open and not particularly logical. I have no idea if this is true in real life because Im not even sure I believe in demonic possession. Knocking wood as I speak.”
In order for a demon to enter the child’s soul there must be a wound that created the opening to allow it to enter. Ordinarily the purity of a child’s soul in of itself is sufficient to protect it.
The wound must be healed in addition to removing the demon or as the Bible says, seven more even worse than the first may return to take its place.
Back when I was doing a lot of spirit removal and releasement work I would interview each of the malevolent spirits and ask them what happened to this person to allow the evil spirit to enter. These people were adults of all ages and both genders. Very often the spirit would tell me that the child was molested, tell me who and when it was done and that they were with the molester and moved in during the violation. The violation created the wound.
It’s not the logic that protects the child, it’s the emotional purity. God shines through them. Often when women becomes pregnant I will know it before they do as the quantity of Love radiating from the newly developed fetus shortly after separating from oneness with God is very strong and unmistakable.
...I’ll help him out;
NO.
I was just sent an email asking if I was a healer. Here is my reply.
I am not a healer. I am a servant of God to be used in whatever way He desires. Sometimes healing happens. Sometimes it does not. It is based upon His will, not my will.
One time I worked with a guy who was in a coma for 6 months and he woke up for the first time. He turned to his wife and said, “I love you.” to which everyone was overjoyed at the event.
I allowed myself to think I did it. Six months later, as a result of a serious staph infection this man died. I remember looking into his eyes as he was dying and thinking that I was a failure for not being able to save him.
The lesson is that if you take credit for the successes you must also take credit for the failures. That burden is greater than any human being can carry. It’s all God no matter what happens or doesn’t happen.
Did you read the whole article?
I think your assessment is false.
OF COURSE!!!
They come out every election day and vote for democrats!
Those who believe it wait in their graves and lose track of time, but they can be rescued if someone prays for them.
Can you give me a Biblical cite for this?
“Truly, truly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. [John 5:25 RSV]
**but He doesnt and he makes clear that the dead are dead and do not come back.**
So to me, you are saying that you do not believe that even Christ rose from the dead, is that what you believe?
