One World Religion Group (What Could Go Wrong?)
Creative Minority Report ^ | 9/4/2014 | Matthew Archbold

Posted on 09/04/2014 11:16:59 AM PDT by markomalley

[Catholic Herald] While visiting the Vatican earlier today, Mr [Former Israeli President Shimon] Peres asked Pope Francis to head a parallel United Nations called the “United Religions” to counter religious extremism in the world today.

Peres said the United Nations and its peacekeepers “do not have the force or the effectiveness of any one of the Pope’s homilies, which can draw half a million people just in St Peter’s Square alone.”

“So given that the United Nations has run its course, what we need is an organisation of United Religions,” Mr Peres said, as “the best way to counteract these terrorists who kill in the name of their faith.”

“What we need is an unquestionable moral authority who says out loud, ‘No. God doesn’t want this and doesn’t allow it,’” he added

One world religious group in which "our common values" which has force. What could go wrong?

So two possibilities.

One. The group is totally useless and can't effect anything because, unlike the Catholic Church, most religions do not have a single authority. They plant trees and issue statements while the heads continue to roll.

Two. (And Much worse) This group is able to effect change based on common values, which if it includes all those other religions, means values other than God's. A one world religious group bases on man's values. No, that isn't scary at all.

Just for curiosity sake, is there something definitive in Scripture stating that the “king of the north” is Germany? Or is this something where people have been trying to interpret current events in light of Scriptural prophecy?

I ask, with all due respect, because with the election of Erdogan as President of Turkey (Erdogan, who has been editorialized as “Sultan Erdogan” and who has visions of restoring the Caliphate), the “king of the north” could well apply to a revived Turkish empire...

It seems to me that there could potentially be some sort of a clash between the muzzies throughout Africa and the Muzzies in Asia. And what stands right in the middle?

Just curious.

germany and the holy roman empire

Download this free book it is interesting. The website is user funded and has no ads, just like FR. (I donate to both sites) You can get a free hard copy if you prefer by calling them. This particular book has some incredible pictures in print form.

There are dozens of free books in kindle and other formats. I hope this answers your question.

This is the same argument the one-worlder use to promote their slave-owner worldview:

"Bad things are bad. Therefore, give us all the power and there won't be any bad things."

Here's the truth:

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse." - John Stuart Mill

There’s only ONE religion where being an “extremist” is a problem.

NO Islam, KNOW Peace
KNOW Islam, NO Peace

Don’t count on it. I’m saying he’d die first.

That's how much is read at Liturgy alone. And some Christian churches, believe it or not, don't even have a liturgy!

Go to my post #13 above. This is a very dangerous group. It has nothing to do with Catholics (and I sure hope Pope Francis isn’t out there nodding and smiling at it) but is basically, as I saw in SF when I talked to my family member, what one might call “Muslim Unitarianism.”

Ahh, this smells like the Assyrio-Germanic connection... A worthy thought, as Assyria's high caste disappeared in history... There is some support (fragmented, but there) for the thought that they hopped a boat across the Black Sea at Babylon's invasion... Thanks for the link.
