DNA and The Book of Mormon Explained full-length video
FAIR MORMON ^ | Published on Feb 18, 2013

Miraculous claims surrounding the coming forth of the Book of Mormon are an evidence of the prophetic calling of Joseph Smith. Critics intent on discrediting the Restoration point to DNA studies on indigenous American peoples in an attempt to expose Joseph, the Book of Mormon, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as frauds. Claiming that scientific evidence excludes any possibility that Middle Eastern or ancient Jewish travelers came to the Americas in antiquity, such critics attempt to sow seeds of doubt in the minds of Latter-day Saints and those of other faiths concerning the authenticity of the Book of Mormon as an ancient religious text.

Are these studies credible? Do the data actually show what the critics claim? Do they discredit the Book of Mormon, or is there biological and other scientific evidence that supports the claims that it is indeed an ancient record of a people that once inhabited the Americas?

The Foundation for Apologetic Information and Research (FAIR) interviews scholars and scientists to answer these important questions and reveals the faith-affirming truth that not only are the critics' conclusions and methods flawed, but that there is credible scientific evidence in favor of the Book of Mormon as an ancient religious text.

BTW the rest of the Book of Mormon will come forth in the thousand years of peace.

That'll be a little LATE; won't it?

What good would even MORE unsupported rambling from a bible in a blender do?

You Mormons get ZERO doctrine from the BoM anyway; yet that is the book you PUSH, instead of, say, the Book of ABRAHAM.

He is widely recognized as an expert on the life and teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith.

I thought that I am known as one as well!

No Mormons have shown up in these threads and proved Anything that I post to be wrong!

Oh; one or two will jabber and complain; but they NEVER post anything that DISPROVES what I post!

Yep your truth looks pretty shabby...

Yep; I didn't PUT the words into your leaders collective mouths; I merely report what has come OUT of them.

Would you like to comment?

I thought not.

She ‘implies’ nothing.

She does, however, ACCUSE a lot.

The jury is STILL awaiting ANY evidence that she has; somewhere located up her sleeve.

(At least that’s where they HOPE it is!)

Restornu #439: thousand years of peace .. will be busy doing genealogy and baptism for the dead

Restornu: BTW the rest of the Book of Mormon will come forth in the thousand years of peace.

You know its the oddest thing...

The LORD Jesus Christ of the Christian Bible had no trouble getting all the information necessary over to His Bride, His Church, the believers...and anyone else with ears to hear..

But the Mormon god Joey Smith was anemic...and not able to perform the work of a god...nor even that of a prophet...

Smith left his followers dangling over the precipice of Hell...

Resty, its dangerous for your eternal soul not to read the Bible for yourself...

READ THE BIBLE

But he doesn’t know a thing about the LORD Jesus Christ...

Are you aware that the current lds leaders have re clarified the long taught revelations about lds getting their own plants and attaining godhood?
Turns out everyone before them were wrong and now this is what is really the truth.
So I guess predicting what will happen in lds is easy as the leaders change their minds on a regular basis.
Even if they are wrong it doesn’t matter, they just claim a new revelation.

I am content that my God is the same today as He was yesterday and tomorrow.

Bet he didn’t know this about Joey Smith...

From contemporaries of Smith...like as in they were there...

Feb 28, 1831 - The Palmyra REFLECTOR states: “It is well known that Jo Smith never pretended to have any communion with angels, until a long period after the PRETENDED finding of his book, and that the juggling of himself or father, went no further than the pretended faculty of seeing wonders in a ‘peep stone,’ and the occasional interview with the spirit, supposed to have the custody of hidden treasures; and it is also equally well known, that a vagabond fortune-teller by the name of Walters, who then resided in the town of Sodus, and was once committed to the jail of this country for JUGGLING, was the constant companion and bosom friend of these money digging imposters.”

Here’s an interesting item...

While he was alive Joey Smith made other peole bow to him..

Like a god ...or a king..

Smith did crown himself “king of all the world”

Feb 29, 1836 - Two non-Mormons visit the Kirtland Temple. One refuses to remove his hat “nor bow to Jo Smith, but [said] that he had made Jo bow to him at a certain time.” The temple doorkeeper, George Morey puts him out because “if a man imposed upon me he imposed upon himself [Morey],” writes Joseph Smith.

Feb 27, 1974 - After writing a requested article on changes in the church since the 1870s for the NEW ERA, having the article accepted and being paid $75 for it LDS historian James B. Allen is told the article will not be printed. he receives “a call from the editor who said that the correlation committee had turned down the article, and there seemed to be two basic reasons: (1) the committee could not see any value in talking about change as such, and (2) it was fearful that in discussing so many changes we would leave the impression that everything was changing, and therefore raise questions in the minds of the New Era readers about whether gospel doctrines were changing and whether or not the Church was true.”

I have not dwell on any of these issues so many of you seem to be consumed with so excuse me if I am not that familiar.

My conversion came by power of the Holy Ghost that this is the Lord’s Jesus Christ Church, and the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and Joseph Smith is a prophet of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Also that my family and husband, we will be together for ever for all eternity as well as for my extended family to have an opportunity to receive this vicarious gift.

So what seems to be high priority on your list and you think is on other LDS list, is the farthest from importance. Life eternal and our families is number one and working in the Lord’s Celestial Kingdom.

There will be no greater joy for the pure in heart.
