On Wednesday, I will be having laser surgery for a cataract. Even though I know that this is now a routine procedure, I am very anxious, especially since I am squeamish about stuff being put into my eyes.
Please pray for me to receive the grace from the Holy Spirit that will allow me to place it all in Gods Hands.
Prayer sent to Mary Queen of Angels and all her Angels+
Dont worry. Cataract surgery hurts just a little less than having your teeth cleaned...except it goes on for about 1/2 hour. A tad unbearable if teeth cleaning went on for that time. And I have a great threshold for pain.
Good luck. The surgery is worth it.
Bigg Red,
you are in my prayers.
Prayers for a safe and successful surgery.
yes!
I’m sure you’ll be fine, but just for that little bit of assurance, I’ll pray for you.
I’m sorry... I’m laughing! I guess you went off to the hardware store for matching paint, too. With your hair full of cobwebs. I guess the windows looked okay... or she would have had you polishing those. Think of it this way... “When Mamma is happy then everyone is happy”.
Prayers up.
Prayers lifted..
The world will be a lot brighter.
St. Lucy, patron of the eyes, please pray for our friend and keep him safe, and obtain for him a peace that surpasses all understanding.
Prayers sent.
I’ll add you to my Parish Prayer List for successful surgery, and for peace, for you.

You are in the prayers of so many of your FR friends.
God bless and protect you.
Well, I am back home now. The procedure was over in no time, as many of you had told me it would be.
When I first posted, I was extremely anxious to the point of tears. I was a bit nervous to begin with, but, the day before my posting, someone had told me in conversation that I would be awake the whole time and there would be pincher things placed on my eye. I was indeed awake the whole time, but I am pretty sure there were no pincher things. (I guess her procedure was for something different.)
First of all, I thank our Precious Lord for bringing me through it safely. And I am so grateful to God that I live in a time and in a country where I can get this kind of medical care.
My thanks to all of you for your prayers. It was most awe-inspiring to find such an intense feeling of peace settling through my being as I read through your many prayers on my behalf. Your petitions regarding my anxiety must have moved the Holy Spirit.
I am also so grateful for the kind words and encouragement that many of you sent my way, along with the witty comments. Such a blessing.
Prayers up for you, my Friends.

I’ll prsy that the doc doesn’t say, “oops.” I’m positive everything will be okay.
Glad it went well! Now you can do your own version of “Pass it On” when you have a friend preparing for the same thing. “Don’t worry! There’s nothing to it!” :-)
