Prayers are up. God bless this family and his loved ones, and all the ones who have fallen and their families and loved ones. What a magnificent military we do have. God bless each and every one of them and those who support and appreciate them.
Prayer for PFC Rios-Ordonez and family.
Pinging you for a prayer thread for one of our heroes.
Condolences and a prayer to PFC Rios-Ordonez’s family and friends.
R.I.P., sir.
My heart hurts for every single Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine that we lose in the never ending wars. My older son is a Marine reservist and is subject to call up at any time. He is also most likely moving toward an officer track and at least a hitch in the Fleet.
This makes me immensely proud.
Yet, as our country seems to now move from one war to another, unceasingly, I have to step back and ask the question, “Why?”
To an extent I could understand Iraq (where son was deployed) as correcting our previous error of supporting Sadaam. Afghanistan - I cannot understand. Why are we STILL flailing away in the “Graveyard of Empires?” What does “victory” look like?
This is not in any way to denigrate the service and sacrifice of PFC Rios-Ordonez. I’m just struggling with the worthiness of the call that he and so many others have answered.
Saying Hail Marys.
prayers
(Keep the Faith, my friends! We are the saviors of the Republic! Now and Forever!)
