And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England’s mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England’s pleasant pastures seen?

Do try to remember that the first century church celebrated all of the feasts of the Lord because they were necessary to the understanding of the believer.

And yet you'll find these same folks also refusing to celebrate Christmas or Easter..

Excellent post !!

" ... because its more fun to play "Jew" and long for a physical Temple you have no intention of ever seeing."

That's more interesting than you may have considered. The Jews, as I understand the Bestselling Rapture Doctrine, will finally come to Christ and ask Him to save him during the Tribulation. If the Church isn't His work now, but something separate from the Jews, then when they turn to Christ isn't that the end of the Jewish people? There can't be be a thousand year rule by Jewish folks, by becoming Christian there is no long Gentile or Jew in Christ.

So, Jewish folks aren't the same as Christians even when they become Christian is what they're really saying, that is a clear contradiction of His Word. Period. No wiggle room.

See what I mean?

And what about four resurrections? (it's all so clear!!)

Regards

British Israeliism!! You gotta give those islanders credit — until the end of the middle ages they were just clubbed with the Germanic nations, but then during the rule of the Georges (the first 2 of whom supposedly didn’t even speak any English!), they built up an entire mythology of themselves (kinda like Virgil did centuries earlier for another Empire) and made tons of Anglophiles (like me!) around the world. They claimed that a Welsh prince was the first to land on the US (to claim the US!) and then that the Brits were really the lost tribes, hence the chosen people!

>>Everyone else recognizes that Satan, the strong man, is already bound (Mk 3:27;Mt 16:19;18:18) so that he can't deceive the nations(Rv 20:3) and that the Gospel can go forth to all the nations - which empirical evidence tells us - it has<<

Ok, so Mark 3 where Jesus is explaining how He cannot possibly be Satan and using the powers of Satan is somehow supposed to mean that Satan is already bound. Got it. Oy!

Now, Matthew 16:19 and Matthew 18:18 where Jesus says the keys to the Kingdom of heaven and the power to bind and loose includes binding and loosing Satan. So you’re saying that the “keys to the Kingdom of heaven” would allow someone with those keys to allow Satan into heaven. Hmmmm?

Then you use Revelation 20:3 and want us to believe that the events of Revelation 20 have already happened and that Satan is now bound and that we are in the 1000 years and that Satan is not deceiving nations. It’s good to know that Hitler, Pol Pot, I’madinnerjacket, Chavez, and other leaders who just appear to be controlled by Satan really aren’t. Could you please tell us who it is exactly who is controlling or influencing them?

Then again out of Revelation 20 when Satan is released at the end of the thousand years to deceive it’s actually going to get worse then it is today. But I believe you also say that when Jesus comes at the end of the thousand years it’s all over for this world and that it is then that we Christians are taken to heaven. Could you explain who Satan is going to deceive at the end of the thousand years when he is released if nobody is on earth?

I’ll be waiting for you thoughtful scriptural explanations.

Well, I’m really trying to learn how you guys have this all figured out so that I don’t have to figure out what I don’t have figured out and then I will have it all figured out too. I’m sure that once I have figured out how you all have it figured out then I’ll have figured out something. At least I think I have figured out how you guys figure things out.

Either it’s the church on earth or it’s in heaven now.

Why the false dilemma?

Ever hear of the terms "Church Victorious" and the "Church Militant"?

Man, you’re missing something! Seriously, no barb intended. The serial is a British one from the 80s staring the same guy who won an Oscar for “the Madness of King George”. It’s about a newly elected minister in teh british parliament and how he tries to fight and eventually is suckered by the Civil Service! It’s hilarious — if you like Fawlty Towers, or Allo Allo I guarantee you’ll like this

Well! Now we are getting some place. If the church is the New Jerusalem and they come down with Christ (Revelation 21:2) are they being resurrected from the grave at the same time?

Not sure what you are asking. There is one resurrection of the dead, at “the last day.”

23 Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise again."
24 Martha said to Him, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day."
25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. (John 11)

I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust. (Acts 24:15)

In our bodies, the members of the Church are here on earth, either alive and walking around or in the grave. In our spirits, we are alive with Christ and dwelling with Him in the new Jerusalem.

But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, (Heb. 12:22)
If you look at the context of Rev. 21, you will see that it is the new heavens and new earth. So the new Jerusalem descending from heaven to earth happens after the Second Coming, which is the day of the Lord.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? (2 Peter 3)
According to Peter, the day of the Lord is sudden and unexpected, “as a thief in the night.” It is also the day for the final disposition of this heavens and this earth. It is the day when “all these things will be dissolved.”

We will be enjoying our resurrection bodies reunited with our spirits.

At the Second Coming, Christ judges the nations. A separation takes place with the righteous going into eternal life, and the unrighteous into eternal punishment.

31 " When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.
32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.
33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.
46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." (Matt. 25:31-33,40)
So the Church, Christ’s righteous ones, receives eternal life in the new heavens and new earth. It is in this new heavens and new earth that the new Jerusalem, the tabernacle of God, is pictured as coming down from heaven to earth.

Hope that helps.
