You don't believe that I was with YWAM as a missionary. That's funny. If I didn't think you'd harass my sons, I'd give you their contact information. You think I made all that up about YWAM? How about the time in Belize when I had a bot-fly larvae growing under my skin? How about the time my Mom, my son and I were threatened by Guatemalan “soldiers” while on our way to Tekal? How about the time my son developed giardia?

Why is it so important to you to discredit me? Bizarre.

“how do you KNOW it was the Holy Ghost and not a demon??”

Because Jesus Christ is my Witness. When Jesus was on the earth, he was accused of having a demon, too. Remember? I guess that’s why He cautioned us not to judge each other.

You are sure you are right - that I am going to hell and all Mormons are going to hell. You are absolutely certain beyond a shadow of a doubt. Now THAT’s really frightening - for you, not me.

Quite honestly it doesn’t bother me what someone thinks of my religious beliefs — I know where I put my trust, and that is sufficient for me.

I think it is a shame though that opponents of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints would spend so much time and effort trying to convince anyone who will listen to them that LDS don’t believe in Jesus Christ and rely on him for their salvation. That’s plain false.

What these opponents say, however, won’t affect the Lord’s work — it’s not possible to thwart his purposes.

What is affected is the spiritual welfare of those who perpetrate such attacks, and I do feel sorry for those who are involved in the meanness and mockery which reflect nothing of the Spirit of Christ. Why use such antics should be used against people who are honestly striving to follow Jesus?

Paul says the fruit of the spirit is “love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance” (Galatians 5:22-23) Those fruits are not in evidence in these spiteful attacks.

I love the enemies of my faith and want the best for them, but I fear those involved in this extreme antagonism are going to reap what they sow. “For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again” (Matt. 7:2)

Lord of what? The AoF are just the ‘milk’ of Mormon doctrine, the ‘meat’ comes later. It is disingenuous to say that it is all that the LDS believe.

I was told that Mormons were evil and to not talk to them.

Good advice, some you probably should have taken.

For the last time, this isn’t a ‘game’.

Jesus is Lord, so why do you just accept Him and leave that God forsaken cult?

You are right in supposing that your Jesus is different from my Jesus. My Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, who loves me and accepts me; He suffered and died to save me from my sins. Apparently, your Jesus is different; your Jesus condemns me.

- - — —
NOW, you are paying attention, Sandy, but not quite

Our Jesus condemns MORMONISM, he loves Mormons but it grieves Him to see them blaspheming Him. C’mon Sandy repent and come to the REAL Christ, eternally God, who died on the cross to pay for your sins, so you don’t have to ‘work for it’.

And the LDS have very different views of what Jesus saves them from, where it took place and who He is.

HMMmm...

Perhaps I need to work up a tagline for my alter ego...

The leader said “We will pray about it.” I was SHOCKED!! What's to pray about?

And yet, today, you MORMONs advise folks to do EXACTLY that!

Pray about whether the BoM is true or not.

Ya think there MIGHT be just a wee bit of a DISCONNECT in thinking here?

Oh ye of little faith...

Read Luke 18

Luke 18

The Parable of the Persistent Widow

1Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. 3And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.'

4"For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men, 5yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!'"

6And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

Of course there could be no joy for him in such an intercourse except for the indulgence of his fanaticism and of something else, perhaps, which I hesitate to mention."

Norm, Norm, Norm...  (I'm helping Sandy here) don't you REALIZE that we can READ???

The Articles of Faith
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

  1. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
  2. We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.
  3. We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
  4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
  5. We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
  6. We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
  7. We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
  8. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
  9. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
  10. We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
  11. We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
  12. We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
  13. We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Joseph Smith
