Mahoney's Creation Sustainability Ministry pretty much says it all. Thanks be to God, it's all over February 11, the day Phoney gets his gold watch and disappears from LA catholic scene.

Here’s the thing Cardinal.

St Francis isn’t the Patron site of Fake Science and Kleptomarxism.

That position goes to Al Gore.

So conservatives were right all along. Environmentalism IS a religion.

I’m pretty sure St. Francis would NOT like his name used in an effort to promote Gaia worship and a major scam.

Archdiocesan Creation Sustainability Ministry

Wouldn't that include population control?

It may not be a blast for you, Cardinal, but it’s definitely a blasphemy.

Doesn’t this guy know who created the earth? Does he think God screwed up somewhere and we have to fix God’s mistakes? He would fit in will with Bishop Conlon in the Steubenville Diocese. He would enjoy our homilies on amnesty and healthcare as a universal human right.

Looney toons. I’m surprised he doesn’t float off into earth orbit, buoyed by the vacuum between his ears ...

Before I clicked on the link, I figured out it was Cardinal Mahony just from reading the headline.

"Yea, hath God said" (Gen 3:1): Environmentalism IS Satan's religious system to clean up the world and thus encourage people thru Al Gore (and other pagan leaders) to experience a united environmental world-wide "good feeling" that every men/women/child can feel that they have contributed to the cleaning up of the world, resulting in people thinking "hey, I don't need God, the world doesn't need God - we all united in an environmental world-wide clean-up effort and successfully cleaned up the world's environmental".

Thus, Satan gets the credit.

This Environmentalism IS a religion - not of God, not promoted by God (show me the Scriptures to prove otherwise), not commanded by God (show me the Scriptures to prove otherwise).

“...an initiative that urges Catholics nationwide to pray for, learn about, assess, act and advocate for populations affected by climate change, especially those that are most vulnerable,” Cardinal Mahony adds.”

I’m down with that. “Climate Change” is about stifling human productivity and initiative, effectively creating poverty. Capitalism has done more to lift people out of poverty than any other economic device. I’ll take your lead, Padre, and pray that all nations turn away from Watermelon Marxism, aka “Climate Change” and towards the Capitalistic model in order to enrich the lives of their citizens.

In a letter to parishes dated October 4-- the memorial of St. Francis of Assisi-- Cardinal Roger Mahony of Los Angeles will announce the formation of the Archdiocesan Creation Sustainability Ministry, according to the electronic newsletter of the Catholic Climate Covenant....

....The coalition, in turn, is a partnership of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, the National Religious Partnership for the Environment, and ten other organizations.

Catholic social teaching on safeguarding the environment is summarized in Chapter 10 of the Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church, which was issued in 2004. Pope Benedict further reflected on the topic in his 2010 World Day of Peace message.

As a Franciscan, I am offended that this (L.A.) archdiocese is using St. Francis to promote this quasi-Marxist filth. I hope the new Bishop will be loyal to Rome and put a stop to this.

In addition to this, there is a Catechism conference this coming weekend and four of the seminars deal with “climate change”. That has NOTHING to do with the faith, I’m so mad I could spit.
