Thank you for your good advice, in the future I will try and keep up. I have learned so much on this thread, like for instance, make a post and then deny what it says a few posts later. Oh and this post doesn’t say what it says and i didn’t say it.

I know you never miss an opportunity to show them off, but the new teeth really aren’t that much better than the old ones.

On May 7 Pope John Paul II dedicated his general audience to “the Virgin Mary” and urged all Christians to accept Mary as their mother. He noted the words spoken by Jesus on the cross to Mary and to John— “Woman, behold thy son!” and “Behold thy mother!” (John 19:26,27), and he claimed that in this statement “IT IS POSSIBLE TO UNDERSTAND THE AUTHENTIC MEANING OF MARIAN WORSHIP in the ecclesial community ... which furthermore is based on the will of Christ” (Vatican Information Service, May 7, 1997).

If even one of our FR experts had been available they might have influenced the unfortunate choice of the word “worship” with the appropriate English language word.

Unfortunately we are stuck with the Vatican amateurs.

INDEED . . .

Thankfully, most Proddys are aware that

veneration = worship = adoration before it meant

adoration = veneration = worship before it meant

worship = veneration = adoration before it meant

adoration = worship = veneration before it meant

worship = adoration = veneration before it meant

. . . .

I wonder if John SKerry is a full professor in the

Vatican Alice in Wonderland School of Theology and Reality Mangling?

Mary grew wings and flew into the desert and the rest of her story is in the book of Revelation where she’s in heaven with the moon and the stars, answering millions of prayers that come in every day, it never ends. Jesus is hiding from her because he’s tired of her “Oy vey” ing

INDEED.

It still amazes me that so many RC’s just glibly write off the business about

THOSE WHO DO THE WILL OF MY FATHER ARE MY FATHER, MOTHER, BROTHERS, SISTERS,

. . . as though He was just flapping His lips to hear the wind blow without any meaningful content escaping at all.

The topic of the perpetual virginity of the Blessed Mother has been covered hundreds of times on hundreds of threads. The idea of denying this is VERY RECENT, ALL of the Reformers acknowledged her perpetual virginity.

Perhaps you should find some of those threads. This thread was SUPPOSED to be about some banned trolls bizarre theory that the Catholic Church wants to reestablish the Holy Roman Empire. NOBODY has addressed that, as best I can tell those usually found on these sort of threads were somehow attracted to the title like moths to a flame.

Where have I denied anything?

If you want to say that I said that the once saved, always saved crowd is the same as the anti-Catholic bigot crowd it is YOUR responsibility to show where I said this, otherwise YOU are bearing false witness.

Will Rogers said:"I don't know if dogs go to heaven, but when I die I want to go where ever they go..."

I just heard a cute story..

A man and his dog died in an accident . He finds himself and his dog standing in front of a huge golden gate...There is a sign saying no pets allowed..a stranger walks up to him so he asks" what is this place ", the stranger tells him that "it is heaven".

The man said, "Can my friend can not come in with me?" The stranger says" no".. the man thinks about it and walks away with his dog..

After a time they come upon a pasture, there is a water fountain and a dog water dish, so the man fill the dish to give his friend a drink .. a different stranger walks up to him and so he asks what this place is.. the stranger says "this is heaven" .

The man thinks a minute and says.."well down the road there was this beautiful gated area, and a man there said that is heaven"... the new stranger smiled and said , no that is hell...
" We use them to screen out people for us, anyone that would leave his best friend behind, doesn't deserve to be in heaven"

I dug out the skunk shampoo recipe anyway. Here it is for future reference, (In case she didn’t learn the first time)

1 quart Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 C Baking soda
1 Tbsp Dawn dishwashing detergent

Stir together S-L-O-W-L-Y. DO NOT cap.

I guess it’s a make as you go kind of thing. I doubt it would have good shelf life, but she said it worked better than anything else, like tomato juice, and her dog didn’t end up pink.

No, not works. Not good outweighs bad or good can make up for or cancel out bad.

Scripture is clear that it’s faith that justifies one, not works.

I’m very sorry your cat died. I hope your kids are taking it well. I pray the Lord will comfort and console y’all. These critters latch unto our hearts and losing one is like losing a part of our own family.

The three older kids were/are pretty much shattered, but really we had that cat longer than we've had children. Five times a day for six months my wife or/and I ran a tube down his throat to his stomach and syringe fed him when he was a kitten. He slept every night on my wife's pillows and almost every time I sat on the couch he jumped on me... for 12 years. So yeah, the kids can get in line behind us.

The Assistant Cat, who is just not ready for promotion to Chief, has been wondering around confused for two days. If he doesn't snap out of it soon he's gonna lose his membership in the Cat Union.

Some months ago my 20 year old cat, with kidney failure, high blood pressure, and hyperthyroid, died of a massive heart attack. (I feel blessed that his death was in his own time - he was happy - and I wasn't forced to make the decision).

Later, while visiting my favorite no-kill cat shelter to make a donation and to visit the cats, I discussed the loss of my cat and the improbability of ever adopting another cat because of my "advanced" age I was introduced to an 11 year old, FIV+, nearly toothless, ex-feral cat who had been in the shelter for more than a year and was considered unadoptable.

Needless to say this unadoptable old man adopted her. She is so sweet, loveable, and happy to be in her own home. We were meant for each other.

I emphathize with your loss having outlived no less than 5 cats in the last 35 years. Bless you for your loving kindness to your cat(s). Animals are also God's creatures.

. Nevertheless, the fact remains that the Virgin Birth WAS NOT a "natural" child birth in any sense of the word.

In what way was it different? Do you believe it was painless?

On the contrary, it shows that the Blessed Mother and Saint Joseph were totally devoted to their Son. From the time of His Birth onward they were in fear for His life (not their own, but His). EVERYTHING they did was for Him. The Holy Family WAS NOT a "normal" family, they were the most incredibly abnormal family in all of history.

I do not recall them running for Jesus life except when they fled to Egypt when he was a baby ? Could you show me where else in the bible it addresses this?

I have only one comment on the holy family not being "a normal" family. Christ came to this world as an infant to live a normal human life, to experience all the life events and things that all jewish boys and men experienced.. He did not come here to be a demi god or to live a life separated from humanity.

So I would think His childhood and life were very ordinary.. until he was baptized and began His ministry

New International Version is a tool of anti-Christ.

Do you also believe all modern Catholic Bibles are the tool of the Anti-Christ?

OLD REGGIE: For how many centuries prior to 1950 (was the assumption of Mary commemorated liturgically?)

PYRO 74: Since at least the time of the Council of Ephesus, which took place in the 5th century.

Where's the proof of that?

There were three Councils of Ephesus, and only the first one mentioned Mary, and that only peripherally in relation to Nestorianism.

NOTHING about Mary being sinless or assumed bodily into heaven.

Thanks for your research. It seems that there is a highly specialized Catholic Dictionary with it's own understanding of "always believed".

500 yrs is a long time with any witnesses to Christ dead.. as was noted the councils were affirming the deity of Christ ..they were not all about Mary as it seems Rome is today

“As went Scotland, so goes this country.” —> you mean a Scotland which has more people going to the mosque on Friday than to the Presbyterian services each week? And, if not for the Catholics in Scotland, there would be more Muslim worshippers each week than Christian? You like that about Scotland?
