A trial date has been set for September 16th in District Court in Dearborn, Michigan with four Christians charged with breach of the peace after they tried to share their Christian faith to Muslims at the June 18th International Arab festival.
As the four were taken off to jail, many in the crowd shouted "Allah Akbar" as the four were placed in handcuffs. Robert Muise of the Thomas More Law Center says there is the very strong possibility that a federal Civil Rights case will be filed on behalf of the four Christians.
Muise also says, "It's evident that the Dearborn Police Department was more interested in placating Muslims than obeying the U-S Constitution."
State Representative Tom McMillin of Rochester Hills, Michigan has called on Michigans Attorney General Mike Cox to investigate the arrest of the Christians, who were exercising their First Amendment rights on public property.

...uh, i seem to recall that Jesus went into the Temple to preach and preached in public places ALL THE TIME...and the apostles preached in the marketplaces and synagogues and certainly at Jewish festivals and Paul preached throughout Greece in the public places...
The question is, if members of another religion were prophetizing outside your church would they be arrested? Would you want them arrested?
I am praying for the Rapture of the Saints.
What if the Christians at the Arab festival are Arabs?
The issue is Jesus Christ and the people who call Him Lord and Savior.
We aren’t going to have to wait much longer for that.
So, is your answer yes or no?
Yes.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.
Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.
--II Peter 3
Even though it shouldn't matter, that's an excellent point. There still are Arab Christians no?
Just making the point that Islam has no undisputed claim on the Arab people...as a matter of fact they belong to the Lord of All...
That makes me sad and makes you no different than Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Because it disrupts people who just want a dang funnel cake. There is a time and place to do this and a festival where music and food is being done is not the place. I mean in actuality I could care less about this story and I wrote too many post of this one event out of 300 million people. I am almost sorry I said anything.
Sorry to disappoint. I need to run to Mass now. Later all. I wonder if I will get some pamphlets at church today. That would be ironic wouldn’t it.
Proselytizing, that’s the word I was looking for (I said prophetizing).
The cops do as they are told are not “allowed” to use their brains as rational people to figure out what is happening and see right or wrong. The cops were told by the administration to do this. It’s a deliberate choice by the politicians to ignore the rights of Christians in favor of the people who vote for them and give them money.
Certainly there are Arab Christians...and we should want to see that number increase
‘I guess I would wonder how Christians would feel if Arabs would go into a Christian Church to give out Arab stuff. I guess I feel if it is not your festival why do you bother going or give out stuff. I am a Catholic and dont go into Jewish places to give out Catholic literature.’
It matters not that you don’t want to, It’s a matter if you have the right to under under our Constitution. Free Speech.
