I'm a Lutheran married to a Catholic, so I have no dog in this fight. Having said that, why are we going after the Mormons who usually vote very conservatively?

You should wish on your lucky stars that the only problem in America would be that everyone has the public behavior and publicly demonstrated values of the Mormon. I am Protestant, my wife is Catholic, and whatever these folks do on their Sabbath is up to them. They're not asking for welfare or bailouts. I don't understand the need for this post in a blatant attempt to ridicule the natural allies of what most folks on FR are all about.

This anti-Mormon stuff is not only tiring, but patently incorrect and reeks of anti-Christian behavior. What ever happened to “love thy neighbor?”

I am a Christian and I have some Mormon friends and I find them to be very good people.

They work hard to provide to their families and they don’t bother others so I don’t have any issues with them.

They teach/have taught: Jesus is not Emmanuel, Adam is God, and Salvation is by Works
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
what is this nonsense? I’ve never heard anyone, mormon or not, ever claim that adam is god. I
Are monophysites “Christians”?
Are Arians “Christians”?
Are Protestants “Christians”?
Are Eastern Orthodox “Christians”?
Are Catholics “Christians”?
Is the Pope “Christian”?
Or was Christ the only ever true “Christian”?
Who gets to anathematize if Christ did not “anathematize”?
The answer to the question. No Mormons are not Christian. At least “orthodox” that is. And I am not Christian but Jewish and I know that.
Jesus never said a true prophet would appear in the last days. Rather, He said false prophets would arise who would deceive, if possible, the very elect.
Oliver Cowdery, who at one time was second in command of the Mormon Church, called Joseph’s relation with Fannie Alger, at that time about eighteen, “a dirty, nasty, filthy affair.”
Wasnt Cowdery excommunicated for saying that ???
for objecting to Joey Smith’s adulterous escapades ???
Answer: Some are, some aren’t.
Just like some Catholics are, and some aren’t.
Some Baptists are, and some aren’t.
Some Presbyterians are, and some aren’t.
If you want to be sure if a Mormon/Catholic/Baptist/Presbyterian is a Christian, you’ll just have to check the Book of Life. Is there a leaked copy floating around?
Not if they believe in the mormon jesus, who is simply another created being who worked his way to godhood in the great mormonic pantheon of trillions of gods.
Not if they believe in more than one God.
Can any mormon turn to the real God of the Bible and the
Real Biblical Christ and become a Christian? ABSOLUTELY.
Oh boy another very deceiving bit of Anti-Mormon propaganda!
If anyone wants to know the truth, it’s not on this board. Put forth a little effort and research these things from ALL angles. You will likely be very enlightened to see just how deceptive the anti-crowd is. When you see the twisting, lies and deceptive tactics ask yourself “why do they feel the need to stoop to such things”? hmmmmm.....
Check it out for yourself. You do want to know the truth right?
I am Baptist. I joined a Masonic Lodge over 30 years ago. I just wish that people would get off of calling or thinking of Masonry as being a religion, it is not, it is a fraternal organization.
We have Jewish people in our lodge and Catholics and every Protestant denomination you care to name.
When I was being interviewed to be accepted, I was asked if I believed in God, when I said yes, I was told that a “no” answer would have kept me from joining.
I went through the symbolic initiation rites just as Joe Smith did but it never occurred to me to make a religion out of them.
Interesting question: Isn't this the common criteria?
Christians are those that:
1) Worship in the Spirit of God
2) Glory in Christ
3) And put no confidence in the flesh
