Jews in the town of Mitzpe Yericho are taking practical steps to prepare for the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem, by preparing descendents of Cohanim (priests) and Levites for service. At the Mitzpe Yericho school, Temple priest hopefuls learn exactly how to conduct the daily Temple service and offer the required sacrifices.
"Today is really a historical event for the Jewish people, organizer Levi Chazan said as another part of the school was completed. It is the beginning of the work for the Third Temple.
The school will include an exact replica of the Temple. The latest addition to the replica was the area in which priests offered wine and water libations. The water offering was traditionally given on the Sukkot holiday, which was celebrated last week.

True, but ET does make an interesting point that I've always wondered about. Sacrifices were the way that sins were forgiven--for a LONG time. Then Jesus comes and starts just forgiving people on the spot. Was that not a very rapid change in God-defined Law? How were the Jews supposed to know that NOW it was OK not to sacrifice to God anymore? Or am I missing something?
Seems to me . . . the bulk of the Jews were not scheduled to get it until after the Abomination of Desolation in our era.
If Christ said He became the Temple why would the Heavenly Father need a physical made by flesh structure? And IF Christ became the one and for all time final sacrifice why would the Heavenly Father require the sacrifice of animals?
??? You hear things that are imaginary. Interesting, that mentioning that the word sacrifice is not in the original text, is cause for a gruff BOLD TEXT response.
The word simply isn't in there. There are grounds for viewing the tamid as a daily sacrifice, and there are grounds for paying mind to the fact that "the tamid" stands alone in certain key verses - "as is" - hiding in plain sight as it were, not obscured by interpretations that presume it must be a temple "sacrifice".
They also believe that the Church has replaced Israel in God's mind and the covenants God made with Israel, which God says are eternal, now apply to the Church, and Israel has been thrown away by God.
Real demonic stuff.
This is why you will see some on this forum, who show up on a lot of prophecy threads, discarding and ignoring and twisting Scripture and denying the reality which is happening right in front of their faces.
They have to mangle and deny the words of God otherwise their belief system shatters into a million pieces.
The events spoken of by Jesus in Matthew 24 are FUTURE events and we are beginning to see the signs, which Jesus told us to look for, for these occurrences starting to happen now.
The impending rebuilding of the Third Temple is a HUGE sign that all of this will come to pass very soon!

The Tribulation period will be God again dealing with Israel and completing His plan for them.
Thus, the ongoing, active work to get ready for the rebuilt Temple, and the training of the priests who will serve in that Temple. God said this will happen, it is going to happen, and it is going to happen pretty soon.
The rebuilding of the Temple is part of that plan. The Jews will pick up where they left off before the were scattered amongst the nations, and they will need a Temple in order to fulfill God's plan for them.
This is the sign of end times I always paid closest attention. I read about is in 1969 when I first started studying. There is so much I wondered how back then but it is becoming so much clearer now. It is becoming to the level of input overload.
If you are just going to focus on men who want to be first in knowing the time, you will miss the truth. Too bad for you.

INDEED. I’ve felt the same thing about info overload the last few years. And, accordingly have decreased the scanning of as many sites as I used to. God has it all in control. He’s big enough to clue me in on something I seriously need—directly if necessary.
Been good to shift on that score.
Nevertheless, He does say to WATCH AND BE READY. I do what I can on that score, trusting Him with the rest.
