My friend is in need of emergency prayer. He is in his early 30's with 4 small girls and a wife. He has abdominal cancer, (unsure where exactly) and is in the hospital receiving chemo now. He spent the last 6 weeks in the hospital and then was transferred to Houston because the cancer has progressed. Chemo was started again and last night he spiked a fever to 103 and it is now up to 105. They are pretty sure there is an infection in the mediport and they are trying to clear the OR to address the problem. They have him in ICU on ice packs and a cooling blanket. His wife is having to deal with all the kids by herself. I would be with her but I live 4 states away and have my two to look after.
One girl has a broken finger and pneumonia and another has the flu.
Prayers are needed for the whole family. They are very religious and are doing well spiritually, but I think they could use any prayers that you guys can send their way.

So sorry to read this about your friend. Praying now and will pray continually for him. And for his wife and children. So many who have cancer. Glad they are Christians - God will carry them through - underneath are the everlasting arms.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!
They took Jared to surgery tonight. He went into surgery with a fever of 105. During the surgery, his fever broke and dropped to 100. Prayers are a wonderful thing. God is great. They will place another mediport later in the week if he is better.
Thanks for all your prayers and keep them coming.
BTW, Jared is not alone now. His mother made it there to be with him. His father is home sick also but insisted she go to be with Jared. Prayers for them also.

So glad to hear the good news about his fever breaking.
Keeping him in prayer, along with his family, and those tending his health needs.
Oh my, this family will certainly be in my prayers along with a similar case with less detail I read on here tonight, don’t think they are the same but could be.
