I’ll remember him and the family in my prayers.
There is no easy answer to such a terrible tragedy...
Our hearts are breaking for you and your family. Whatever happened, we know your son Peter didn't plan to ever take the life of his own brother. Hold on to that, and don't accept it if the authorities tell you differently. They loved each other as only brothers can.
Prayers lifted up. Be strong. We care..
Prayers for your family, and prayers for Peter.

May the Lord bless and keep you and your loved ones until this storm passes. May each of you be held in the hollow of His hand, and be brought nearer to the heart of God because of all that you are bearing now. (1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.”

Prayers being sent for God’s strength, guidance and comfort.
Dear God in Heaven,
Give comfort to this grieving family. We lift them up to you and affirm that you are wise and merciful in all things. Take to your heart the young man who has passed and guide the young one who is left and bears such a tremedous burden. Guide this family in the days to come as they navigate the waters of the justice system. We ask that you will overshadow each and every person in that system and that only your will and divine justice shall prevail.
Extend your mercy and forgiveness for the entire situation, the entire cause and core of it, for each and every individual involved. May the Lord, our Savior, walk closely with each of these precious hearts. Grant them peace and help them all get through this trying time.
Let this prayer be adjusted and made perfect according to your will.

If Peter’s defense attorney doesn’t take the bull by the horns, get him another one. If he has appointed counsel, make sure the person’s actually working the case and not just looking to plead him out. If there’s a high-profile criminal defense firm in his city, contact them and ask if they’ll handle it pro bono (if there’s no money to pay them, as is often the case - nobody plans to need a lawyer).
I’m praying for your family and the attorney. Pray he has the right one. As a current judge and prosecutor and a former criminal defense counsel, this is my strongest advice to you.

Dear Diamond,
Life can be so hard at times. Jesus wants to bring us through these strange, puzzling, excruciating times of the valley of the shadow and out into a large, bright place of green grass and trees and of cool, flowing streams.
It is my guess that Peter must have been terrified out of his mind to have taken this action. I think a lot of these prosecutors are ambitious for higher office in many cases and not very concerned about judgement and mercy. I pray for God’s mercy in this situation and for the help that you all need for release from this agony. Remember that trouble is only for a night, but that joy springs forth in the morning. Try to cast ALL your cares upon the Lord, for He careth for you.

Prsyers for you & yours. The God who created all we see and know, the God of the Universe, the God who hung His perfect Son on the cross for us and raised Him from the dead is always able to handle any need we bring to Him.
Those who are afflicted will call on Him and He will answer. And, remember that the enemy’s greatest tool is discouragement, which robs us of our peace.
