The Neverending Story
An ongoing debate on Scripture, Tradition, History and Interpretation.

Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams

"Cleaver" also means to hang on to something.

Yes, and alarm clocks go on when they go off and houses burn down when they burn up.

I once had a Belgian TA confuse an entire electronics lab cause he thought a button being "depressed" was the opposite of it being "pressed."

If you pushed the button again, would it be repressed?

Morning. It might stop raining later today. It's been pouring all week. Sarah had fun playing with her new umbrella, even though it wasn't technically raining when we had her out.

***First the button has to realize he a problem.***

Back to the Arminian-Calvinism debate again???

Can a button realize he has a problem or does God have to reveal the problem to the button?

I buy those things at the dollar store. The kids love to play with them and they last just as long for them as the more expensive one.

Exactly. It even has little balls on the ends of the spokes so she doesn't put her eye out. Also, you can get 4 or 5 pairs of kid sunglasses for a buck. She was freaking out about mom's new sunglasses until we got her her own.

Regardless, the button's depression works to the greater glory of God. And that's what's important. Can we get a joint declaration on that?

I buy guns and rifles too. Usually a half dozen at a x and keep them in the walk in closet (extra bedroom) until a replacement needed. Don't tell me Sarah a girl either. My Sarah likes them too. She was carrying her Barbie in one arm and her rat-tat-tat rifle in the other awhile back.

Sarah has shown no inkling of a desire to shoot anything yet. I'm not philosophically opposed to gun toys, it just hasn't come up. I don't think she has encountered the concept of shooting yet. Aanything she may see on TV that explodes, like a gun or bomb is regarded as fireworks.
