The Neverending Story
An ongoing debate on Scripture, Tradition, History and Interpretation.

Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams

I haven't done anything today. I felt really bad after work and came home and took some motrin and a nap.

I had the kids this evening. Picked them up at 4:30 because Tricia had a class tonight. Gavin had his first T-ball practice of the season. Last year he was one of the "little" kids on the team; this year he's one of the "big" kids. I'm helping coach this year. I was working with the kids on fielding ground balls, and Adrienne was "helping" me. :o)

"Operating While Intoxicated". Oklahoma might use a different acronym.

It's been a little chilly here too. The storm hit about 3 in the morning Sunday and I was outside in shorts and barefooted about 8. I went out about an hour later and it was cold. Better today than yesterday. At least the wind has died down.
Eddie laughing at me. Says he'll believe it when he sees me up at 6 if I haven't been up all night. Either way I don't have to be at work til 11.

I got alot done today. Mack went to Ok. City to get the crew started on a job, so he was gone all day. I got all my flowers planted. I burned that old couch that was out in the barn. Grizzly has been slowly dismembering it. They are forcasting alot of wind and I needed to get rid of that thing or it was going to land up all over the mountain. It is so funny, he first tore up each of the cushions one at a time, then he staarted pulling the material off the bottom, then he started on each of the back cushions. They were full of this white stuffing. He had it everywhere out there, looked like snow from the house.

I fixed a gate on the chicken coop. Grizzly (that dog is near death:), keeps getting in there and either eating the eggs or chasing the chickens. He dosn't kill them just plays with them. But I am going to be firing up the incubator tomorrow and when the baby chicks are out there he would probably kill them.

That sounds like fun. I remember playing with Charlie. Mack would not let me teach him to throw. I throw side arm real bad:), he said I was better then most girls but he didn't want Charlie throwing side arm. But I played catch with him every day. I really enjoyed Little League.

I guess I have a clock inside me. Before daylight savings time I got up at 6 every day, now, like clockwork, I am up at 7. I'd like to get back to 6. I liked my mornings.

Eddie used to coach. We had a lot of good times at the ball park with the kids. I'm taking vacation the first of june. I'll have all of the grandkids here (with their mothers). I'm teaching the pre-school at vacation bible school the first week. The second JJ is going to horse camp at the stables and then we are going to take them to sea world before sending them home.

I would probably get fined. RAIH Riding an intoxicated horse. No lie, last summer a man was arrested in Brownwood for driving a lawnmower while UDI.

Here are some fun John Calvin quotes:

"Every one of us is, even from his mother's womb, a master craftsman of idols."

"For (such is our innate pride) we always seem to ourselves just, and upright, and wise, and holy, until we are convinced, by clear evidence, of our injustice, vileness, folly, and impurity."

"For Scripture is the school of the Holy Spirit, in which, as nothing is omitted that is both necessary and useful to know, so nothing is taught but what is expedient to know. Therefore we must guard against depriving believers of anything disclosed about predestination in Scripture, lest we seem either wickedly to defraud them of the blessing of their God or to accuse and scoff at the Holy Spirit for having published what it is in any way profitable to suppress."

". . . I consider looseness with words no less of a defect than looseness of the bowels."
