The Neverending Story
An ongoing debate on Scripture, Tradition, History and Interpretation.
Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams |

Well humor me here because I'm not about to browse back through 3,000+ posts to find it.

You are the reason that she is lost, you didn't do your all like God told you too, you failed. You should hang your head in shame.Noah and Jeremiah should probably do the same, huh?

http://www.torahofmessiah.com/john858.html Isn't that "Bruce of TOMY"'s site? The anti-trinitarian-yet-still-Messianic-Jewish website that you found so persuasive, that last year you cited repeatedly as your "proof" that Trinitarian Christianity was wrong about who Jesus was?
Didn't you just announce earlier this month that you no longer believe Bruce of TOMY's assertion that Jesus was still the Messiah? Why would you consider that site authoritative on anything anymore?
To: Alex Murphy
At least Resty's still in the same church she was in when RnMom & her first met :)
And the advantage of this is ... ?

Hey Q, Happy Easter! Let's not continue the recriminations. Someone has to just let it drop.

Pay attention. It is not a quote from Jesus. Pay attention yourself... even assuming you are correct (you are not) and Jesus is not God... God still IS.
Why would Scripture quoting non-god-jesus be more valuable than Scripture inspired by God the Father (who presumably is still God)??
To: OLD REGGIE
"My belief: One does not have to believe Jesus is God in order to be saved.! Is that clear?"
I will repeat. John 14:6 has nothing to do with the divinity of Christ.
This is what I posted:
John 14:6 says nothing of the Trinity. It simply says Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and NO ONE can come to the Father except through Him. There is no Trinity doctrine there. Was Jesus wrong? Is there another way?
Where I am claiming in this discussion of ours, that belief in Jesus (John 3:16) is the only way to salvation, that Jesus is God. He is simply saying that no one can come to the Father except through Him. Is this statement wrong? Is Jesus wrong?

That's the second time you've posted that - without explanation. What exactly do you think it's saying that contradicts that Christ is God?
I believe it is a concise explanation of the relationship between Jesus and His Father.
Do you think Jesus is talking to Himself?

It takes awhile to update all your links. Have't you ever been through a complete religious conversion?
To: OLD REGGIE
I believe it is a concise explanation of the relationship between Jesus and His Father. It sounds like the Father is giving the same glory to the Son as the Son to the Father. Interesting idea if He was "just a man". It certainly doesn't say "not God".
Do you think Jesus is talking to Himself?
??? Are you saying that any time Jesus prayes to the Father it's proof that Jesus is not God? I know you don't really get the "Trinity thingy", but surely you understand that They still have individual "personhoods"?
To: OLD REGGIE
Me #3618: Don't you believe that people can go to heaven outside of Christ?
Reggie #3636: Yes.
Me #3674: John 14:6 Jesus says He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and NO ONE can come to the Father except through Him. Was Jesus wrong?
Reggie #3709: No
Forgive my confusion but these are two contradictory answers on your part. You say that Jesus was not wrong when He said He is the only Way, but then you say He is not the only way. What am I missing??

blah blah blah. Still claim to have that Christian love I see. Words are cheap, lets have some action. hehe. Lots of people I don't agree with make some good points. Haven't seen any from you yet. doubt I will.

Have't you ever been through a complete religious conversion? Not as many times as Iggy has - and I'd argue vociferously against using the adjective "complete" in his case, anyway. Can you completely convert more than once in a twelve-month period? What do you do with all those remaining issues until your one-year magazine subscription runs out?
I did get my car washed at a neighboring church's fund-raiser once. Does that count? :)

Altogether now. "And they'll know we are christians by our love, by our love, yes they'll know we are christians by our love. puke.

Why are you going out of your way to be an idiot Because it usually takes a while to drive all that way into someone else's sequestered neighborhood?

can you enlighten me? You haven't explained the contradictory stance.

Why are you going out of your way to be an idiot? I don't have to "go out of my way". It comes naturally to me.
What's your problem? It IS funny that someone could reject a set of beliefs and yet continue to use the partisan websites of the beliefs (s)he no longer holds.

What's your problem? It IS funny that someone could reject a set of beliefs and yet continue to use the partisan websites of the beliefs (s)he no longer holds. The only thing we disagree about is that Jesus is the messiah. We agree that he's not God. We agree that Torah is not abolished. We agree there's still a 4th commandment. There's very little we disagree on. Of course you wouldn't know because I doubt you even wentno there and read anything. Discredit the messanger, ignore the message. You guys are special.
