Can you not let it go, or is the goal to shut down this thread that yall don't want in the religious forum? I just need to know the plan.
CD, I think that yesterday's provocateurs have passed through the thread ... (sort of like a passing storm) ... and things are pretty much back to normal now.
I believe that we can go back to discussing issues as we normally do.
Why would anyone want to see this tread shut down? There are too many people left here that are potential converts ... I am sure now that there are reinforcements the NT will become increasing discussed as a myth and more people pulled out of that false belief system
You are right Quester , we had a collective sadness that this thread has become nothing more than a meeting place for the cults and those seeking to draw people away from Christ, but the people here can not see it or do not care .
The mod called me an ass to someone..Well remember that God once prophesied through an ass . Steve is not the last to be drawn away here ..consider that as much of a prophecy as was my prediction that Steve was on his way out of the gospel .

"Prediction" and "Prophesy" are two different things. And one of them is not something to be trifled with.
More than one of those who you claim are "in darkness" made the same "prophesy". Perhaps you have similar sources?

I meant it was arbitrary from our perspective.
From your position, you are better off simply admitting the obvious and saying "Yes, God grants grace to some and not to others and we haven't got a clue why. By picking some for salvation God has chosen the others for damnation. He is sovereign and that is His business."
Isn't that what we have been saying?
You took umbrage at the notion that God "picks people to go to Hell." Which is not in essence different from what you just said above.
God is not responsible for our sin. It is our sin that damns us. Just because God doesn't step in to stop Mr. X from going where he is naturally heading while God does do so for Mr. Y does not make Mr. X's damnation God's fault.
Yes. But you yourself just affirmed that God chose certain people for damnation. What could they have done in order to not be damned? What choice did they have?
None, you must admit. God sets up rules and they violate them, but He has made them constitutionally incapable of following them. They are born with a destroyed will which only desires the bad. So whose fault is it? If God is ultimately sovereign, as you insist, and He gets just what He wants, then this is what He wants.
And this is exactly how God made the people whom He will then damn.
Wrong, God made Man in His own image and He saw that it was good. After that Adam fell and our nature became corrupted. Now we are after the likeness of our father Adam. The only person God created without mediation was Adam, and Adam was good when he was first created.
But God is sovereign, remember?
He created Adam and desired Adam to fall. He also designed the universe this way, out of all of the possible realities He cold have created. He also deemed it that Adam's fault would be inherited, thereby bringing into existence people who are born for hell.
If God is sovereign like you keep saying, then you need to accept all of it. God could have made it differently. Therefore, this is exactly what God wants. This is how He designed us to be, fallen and incapable of good. I was born for hell, by God's design. And nothing I do can change that.
God chose to create certain men for damnation. Just say it.
Again, unless you want to deny God's Omniscience you believe the same thing.
I believe God offers all sufficient grace to obtain salavtion. Those that do not do so fail by their own fault. Not because God withheld something from them.

Seeing that one does not want to waste his time reading "irrelevant " scripture, we would not want to bore you...so I tell you what ..you show me the scripture that says God will use your walk will bring anyone to a saving knowledge of Christ

Who has been led to Christ on any of the religious threads and has accepted Christ as their savior? No one answering this which may be ominous for all of us IMO
