The Neverending Story
An ongoing debate on Scripture, Tradition, History and Interpretation.
Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams |

Thanks. Sorry about the kids not feeling well. I'm just sitting up waiting too. We should be getting a call from Eddies mother any time. She left from Houston about 4-5 hrs ago. What she tells us will determine if we are leaving tomorrow.

He can't. He's a closet baptist. Shhhh! You blow my cover and I'll never convert these guys! Good thing they're all sleeping... I'm going to ping the moderator and ask him to delete both of our posts. :-)
I just hope when he finally decides to come out he isn't carrying a tulip :')
Highly unlikely
To: Dr. Eckleburg
It was probably Dr. WarmooseYeah, thats the guy, he had a bucket full b@lls and was fun to watch :)
Most of the Calvinists disagreed with him and believed, like John Calvin, who had lost a child in infancy, that God's mercy covers the children of the elect.
Well now ain't that special, I bet it covers teenage calvinists kids too! Sorry Doc but don't you see how phony this comes across?
Warmoose was banned. 8~(
Yeah I watched him flame out.

Umm first guess is the 2 young 'uns on bikes wearing badly fitting suits but I am sort of biased. ;-)
It is a really hard thing (esp in this medium where sarcasm sure does not work well: trust me here I got in all sorts of trouble with that) to draw a line between being friendly and enabling nonbelievers. I did get drawn into a really bad situation back when (FR mail for details) because nobody bothered to explain to me What the heck following Jesus meant, they were too busy "naming and claiming" or being "seeker sensitive" to provide us really dumb (seriously) baby Christians with enough information to protect them from the wolves (Mat 24:24) And that is enough to make me wary of playing with heretics. Does not mean I live in the Christian Ghetto but discernment is needed. Finding the balance is not always easy or pleasant but it can be vital for the vulnerable.

That's what I was saying. Why should you care now? I don't understand all the talk around the issue though. A simple "I reject Jesus Christ as my Savior " from you might not be PC but would be much more to the point wouldn't it?Only appears to be "talking around" to you. I've addressed every point. YHWH is my Savior. That's not enough for you? I'm surprised you want me to use words that would serve to provoke and offend.
To: Invincibly Ignorant
I'm really not trying to provoke you (too tired tonight) but only trying to get you to say what you are really doing. Your words sound all nice and feel goody but mine cuts right to the heart of the issue don't you think?
To: CARepubGal
Can I tell you a secret?
To: CindyDawg
Please do. :)

There are some things only God know, Mack. That's fine by me.
But I sure hope teenagers are covered by the Covenant, since I have two who need as much help as they can get.

Well God did hold them unaccountable under twenty in the wilderness. I think he makes teenagers so difficult on parents so that we want to kick them out of the nest. If they remained as sweet and trusting as pre-puberty we would never want to let go:')
To: CindyDawg
You're probably right.
I'm trying to figure out how to homeschool them for college.

The other question that Dave keeps hinting at is what you feel about those non-believers who believe in lots of OTHER "false" things and what way God uses those beliefs. G-d/YHWH uses all type of people. As Dave has pointed out, YHWH even uses pedophile priests.

Don't forget "more humble." I love it when someone plays the "humility" card.
What's more "humble?" Thinking you contributed to your own salvation because you chose wisely? Thinking you were smarter than others? More holy than others? More insightful, obedient, righteous or simply luckier than others?
This is what Roman Catholics believe, that every time they say the Rosary they're increasing their portion of God's grace and swaying His opinion to their side.
Or does it seem prudent and faithful to Scripture to say I had nothing to do with my salvation because salvation is a gift from God given at His own good pleasure in His own time for His own reasons according to His mercy?
"And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord; and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed." - Acts 13:48
"Faith alone" was the standard of the Reformation.
Arminians need to return to Geneva and read up on why we're not all Romanists today.
