The Neverending Story
An ongoing debate on Scripture, Tradition, History and Interpretation.

Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams

Not really Mack , in case you have not noticed...the NET along with FR are not Calvinist friendly .

The truth of Calvinism is in front of your eyes Mack, but it is a very scary truth ..it might mean that God was really in charge ...and we can't have that can we ? . But that is another topic.

I tried to deal with the apostasy here ..and memory serves me that I was reported as disrupting the peace of the NET and was for a time banned from posting here.

This has been coming a long time Mack, but it seems that human pride says that somehow our personalities draw better that the means ordained by God .

If we are just a little nicer maybe THEN they will see the great reward of the gospel .

What the iggy affair shows is that one man committed to converting someone ..is more successful that a dozen Christians that are half heartedly committed.

Nice work malakhi !!

Hes more proud of you calvinists for distorting the truth and running people into the gates of hell.

That's okay, Mack. Maybe you will open your mouth again, spout some of that wonderfully thought-through theology of yours, and swing those gates wide open again so more apostates can actually run through them.

After all, you did such a brilliant job helping Iggy.

Mack, I can't be Baptist: I like to drink and occasionally dance and I DON'T LIKE SNAKES! So none of that Holiness stuff for me. :) Presbyterians are mellow, allow some drinking and dancing and are pretty amusing at parties. And there is that issue of Predestination. So I will say Hi to the Boo for you (that is Woody for the rest of the listening audience) and thanks but no thanks. :)

The only thing true about calvinisn is that its not true.

I tried to deal with the apostasy here ..and memory serves me that I was reported as disrupting the peace of the NET and was for a time banned from posting here.

Everybody is a victim, just where the hell have you been the last 6 months if you were so concerned about Stevens soul you should of been here EVERY damn day preaching the gospel to him.

What the iggy affair shows is that one man committed to converting someone ..is more successful that a dozen Christians that are half heartedly committed.

What it shows is how much of a hypocrite you are, where the HELL were you the last 6 months?

The last person I heard talk so vehemently against TULIP was RnMom about three years ago when she was one of the vocal Arminians.

So be careful, Mack. Don't go reading any books on that old, ragtag religion of the Reformation, like the 90-page classic, "The Five Points of Calvinism" by David Steele and Curtis Thomas.

You never know what God might have yet in store for you. 8~)

calvinists are so close to the truth but yet so far with your ridiculous tulip doctrine that it drives people from the true gospel and into hell. If I had not of been saved before I came across you calvinists I would of RUN from God after meeting you guys.

Whats interesting is that it was not Calvinist doctrine that drove Steve to reject Christ was it ? Our hands are clean on this Mack, you need to look at your own . You believe that when people see your walk they will be attracted to Christ, you don't need no grace folks here , you guys have it all well in hand :>))))

A while back (when you asked) Snerkel and I came here and soon the cult folks stopped posting when backed into a corner, with persistent biblical questions. We did our bit, it was only up ti the rest of you to keep the wolf from the door .

Prove it Mack. Prove that we puny little people are more powerful than the Most High. And please tell me where that is said. More likely answer is that we are unworthy sinners saved by Grace not merit.

Perhaps you should consult with RnMomof7 on that.

Somehow she believes that the discussion of the NES thread has thwarted the will of God concerning Stephen.

I lurked on just about every calvinist thread here for almost three years, it ain't gonna happen Doc. :)

Say why don't you come on over to the light and right side of a Biblicist the 30,001st?

Did I be little your family?

I've seen you ask Steven what his family thinks of what he was doing.

You can talk about my family on here all you want, just don't be little them.

So you accuse us of trying to stem the tide by our lifestyles, ... while, simultaneously, you claim to have stemmed the tide by your persistence.

Which is it ... do you believe in the power of human effort or not ?

Yall think God is amused about this it's your fault, no it's your fault stuff? Even if he had only heard the word once, it's "Steven's fault". He has made his own choices. our job is to witness, not beat someone into submission. However he's not dead yet and the rapture hasn't happened (yeah I know) so where there is life there is still hope. I still think praying the best action plan though.

Good point Cindy. In the end I'm responsible for the decisions I make. Ya'll just relax. I'll take the rap. :-)

Prove it.

Read it for ypurself.
Mack I have never doubted your love of Christ or the gospel. That is not the issue.

I just ask you to look at the "fruit" of this thread. Would iggy have forsaken Christ were it not for this thread? I wonder. How many have come to know Christ because of it?

This thread say friendship trumps the gospel ... and in your heart I think you know that is true.

That is EXACTLY why Paul warns the light has NO fellowship with the darkness ...
