Did you notice how McClintock didn't go after Schwarzenegger at all in the debates. Thou shalt not speak ill of a fellow Republican (even if you think he is a RINO)
It makes sense.
And this way the Republicans always had a back up plan. If Arnold was forced out a lot of his voters would have gone to Tom if Tom was not on record as having attacked "their guy" and vise versa.

LOL. Can't believe you voted for a Nazi.
Oh, oh - that's right. The NYT issued a correction a few days later and left out one little word that changed the meaning of it all.

well, more accurately, part of that is true. Not about Bush, but about the economy. lets face it, the anger in CA is about jobs, deficits, etc. And the lesson Bush should take from it is that the economy can kill you, it can bring an angry mob to the polls.

I had curiously wondered what would have happened to Tom McClintock...I was shocked with what they were doing to Arnold S. I had hoped if McClintock was the only gop candidate in the race that he would stick it out (which I assumed he would) but, man, they would have torn him up! (or at least tried).

My big questions is: Will the Rats regroup and decide their negative message and lies to the voting public don't work and thus they will be more nuanced in the future?
OR
Will the Rats decide they have to fight even dirtier?

It's just astonishing to think that Gray Davis actually won re-election as governor less than one year ago. I know the true dimension of the deficit wasn't disclosed until after that election, but still.......

They had someone that said it would have been brutal against McClintock as being so far right that it would have scared voters -- they had it all prepared in case he was ahead instead of Arnold.
The RATs are despicable!

Drudge is late: Most Freepers called it right yesterday!
My guess:
Recall:
59% yes
41% no
Governor:
Schwarzenegger 51%
Bustamante 32%
McClintock 8%
Others:9%
My guess
Tamsey's pic ("Big government sounds too much like sluggish socialism."......Arnold Schwarzenegger)

I still fail to see how Arnold winning in CA helps me here in PA.
Neither do I. But, did I ever say it could?
I just don't understand why everyone all over the country seems to have such an interest in this. It won't affect us outside of CA one bit.

My big questions is: Will the Rats regroup and decide their negative message and lies to the voting public don't work and thus they will be more nuanced in the future? They will realize it .. but like this CA election, they won't be able to avoid getting dirty .. it's the only thing they know to do .. old habits are hard to die
