On today's RECALL CENTRAL on KFI 640, they had the head of the "Lincoln Republicans" of Orange County. He stated that Tom McClintock had assured him that he would not stay in the race to play spoiler if it looked like he couldn't win. He promised that he would bow out before the election if his numbers didn't assure victory.

Other Cal GOP leaders were quoted as saying the same.

And yet, McClintock has vowed to stay in the race to the bitter end.

So, the question is ...

Which McClintock do we believe?

Another thing on Perot -- he went around the Country being anti-NAFTA while his family was engaged in building Alliance Airport to take NAFTA traffic away from San Antonio. He suckered in folks but good!

I think that is the opinion of a lot of people on FR. Unfortunately, it is these people who so liberally throw around the "RINO" label at everyone who doesn't quite fit their narrow, specialized view of the world. It's ironic -- the ones who castigate people as "Republican In Name Only," often are "Not Even In Name Only."

Aren't you interested in JR's opinion on these issues? I am, particularly since he lives here. Besides, I don't see how quoting him is any different than quoting anyone else who's opinion you value. Maybe it would be different if he was throwing people off who disagree with him on this issue, but he isn't doing that.

Some of the Left wing Pro Abortion AntiGun Pro Illegal Immigrant RINOS are sooo dismayed that Tom McClintock is still in the race. If 18 percent of the people according to the fraud laden polls, are against killing unborn children, are supporters of the 2nd amendment, are for defending the country against an invasion of illegals, then that is what you should see in the election - 18% for someone who stands for that. Very simple.

God willing another 35% percent who believe the same, will have the small amount of courage and faith necessary to pull the Tomahawk lever and crush the twin supporters of Abortion, Illegal Immigration -Arnold and Bustamonte.

I'll try typing slowly so you can understand what I'm saying....Prior to the CNN poll out this past Sunday, which shows Arnold pulling away from the pack, the race was close between Arnold and Busty -- 28%-25%, and some polls showing Busty with a three or four point lead. When those polls came out, it was clear that Tom was in the position of spoiler, and it looked like he would end up inadvertantly giving the election to Busty. But Arnold has appeared to have broken from the pack, now leading Busty by 15%. That break out started last week with the Chamber of Commerce poll, and was confirmed by the CNN/Gallup poll released just three days ago. So, my earlier comment that up until the CNN/Gallup poll, McC was a likely spoiler, was true, not assertion.

So, I don't really care how much the McClintock fans fantasize about the position of their man -- he's going to lose, and ironically, won't be much of a factor in the final vote.

I think Arnold, with all the hype, seudo peaked at the convention. There's a 'strong undercurrent' for Tom and it could likely snowball if compromisers come to their senses.

I say Tom will win, he has more 'quad' coming down the streach.

I was disgusted with McC's appearance on Sean Hannity's show today. Sean even joked that Tom was hosting his show.

No small ego here. It's either McClintock's way or else.

Regarding being Christians. One of the main tenants is being a servant to others, i.e. being self-less. Ray and Darryl are behaving that that way, Tom is not. What can be said...

The Statist element on the Right is generally more subdued because so many of the GOP base are God fearing and already have their orders from Higher authority. With (R)nold we have a more open type of RINO. He'll be far more comfortable with the strident Left than he will with the GOP base should he gain election.
