Infrastructure issue... Arnold: We should model ourselves after Texas. So did the dems blow their brains out after hearing that one?? I have visions of Huffington and Cruz just exploding like red shirts in a Scanners movie.

Things are happening so fast around here I'm sure no one will notice this post. Like Gray Davis, a ship in the night.

When the moderator started his wrap up (he's in love with his own voice), Brit said "We'll spare you that." It was great!

Moly! The lady from NPR is telling Brit Hume that McClintock won and was the most substantive speaker. I think I'm gonna have a heart attack or something.

*LOL* I've lost quite a bit of respect for FR and for Freepers in general because of the single-minded and thoughtless partisanship this whole debate has fostered. Why can't people be civil? Why can't they be respectful? Those are some good questions which require thought, but that's a surefire reason they won't be answered. It's all about shouting down your opponents, especially when you have no consistent philosophy or morality to stand on. That makes the need to shout just that much stronger.

...WE NEED A FAIR TAX SYSTEM, THEREFORE, TAX THE RICH MORE. In the Green's (and Dems) world, tax fairness is as easy to define as Affirmative Action for racial fairness: stick the rich more....and more.

Yeah,..Bustamante,...he grew up in the valley and picked just about everything there they could pick,....Thai Stick, Super Skunk, Big Bud, Purple Haze....
LOL!!
To: Exit148
I thought Cruz Bustamante did a credible job and surely convinced his Democratic base to unite behind him.
That fact should have the Pubbies running scared. They better come together....or CA will remain in the Blue States and that will hurt Bush in 2004.

What "deal" are you speaking of exactly?
To: autoresponder
McClintock won this debate, hands down.Arnold was okay, but wasn't specific or detailed.
Huffington, Bustamonte and Camejo were the losers.

Mac did good.
Busty shot himself in the foot with his superior bureaucrat bit.
And Arnold will be the next Governor..
Deal with reality.

Tom definitely sounded like he came out on top of the heap
from the times I was able to pay attention.
Arnold was a couple of lengths behind Tom.
AH and Camejo should not have been invited.
Bustamante, if you listened carefully, was placed in
a position where he could not logically defend
himself and the Davis/Democrat administration.
He threw Davis overboard at least once!!
I like Tom but I think he made a significant
mistake during his close-- he strayed off point
(the state government budget) and went into
gun control, abortion, and so on. Doesn't he
have any campaign advisors helping him? Oh well,
maybe there is some factor there that I don't know
that he does.

Folks, let's not turn this into an attack thread. The pictures that lampoon aren't needed here.
This has been a good discussion. Let's keep it that way.
