[history]
An Army Islamic chaplain, who counseled al Qaeda prisoners at the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, naval base, has been charged with espionage, aiding the enemy and spying, The Washington Times has learned.
Capt. James J. Yee, a 1990 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., was arrested earlier this month by the FBI in Jacksonville, Fla., as he arrived on a military charter flight from Guantanamo, according to a law-enforcement source.

James Yee changed his name to Yousef Yee.
Gee, we ran this identity around the block a few times. Regardless, it means there are two ID's for Yee who was born in New Jersey.

Seems pretty obvious he was sent back home to infiltrate the services and collect information. Also, what chaplain has access to sensitive information? The chaplain doesn't -- but the Muslims he "ministers" to have access. He was chaplain of a signals battalion -- the guys who are in charge of communication and crypto gear.
The situation implies that his job was "spymaster": recruiting and running agents among the Army's Muslim community

3. Prevent conversion to islam in all U.S. prisons. How? Conversion takes place in the mind. How do you propose to get in there? Start by barring access to prisons by Muslim clerics. Treat those who promote Islam exactly the same as those in the Christian Identity movement

ok. For a minute there I thought I was going to have to fire the guards @ the gate to FR. - I thought they let a liberal in (or an Islamo-fascist ;-)

Why send an Army chaplain to a Navy brig, the very same one as is housing some of the very worst of the worst we've caught so far? From what I have heard from Charlestonians, this brig is considered ultra-secure.

Lee [you meant Yee] and the Sniper (Mohammed) both served in the Gulf War then. Wonder if they were in the same unit. Yee was commissioned as a 2d Lieutenant in the Air Defense Artillery on May 31, 1990. His first unit assignment was with the 32d ADA in Germany. From there, his unit was apparently deployed to the Gulf.

Just tidbits:
1. Yee was detained on 9-10-2003.
2. He went to.....after finishing "airborne school"
3. What does Chinese-American mean? Were both parents chinese?
3. Said he didn't know the sniper but wouldn't comment further.

Muhammed Allen (sniper) was also in Germany for a time but that was probably a stop over for many.

I think Yee is Chinese-American as Tiger Woods might be called Korean-American. He looks like some of his genes trace back to Africa.
In America an awful lot of conversions to Islam are taking place in the black community, and the selling point is of whites being 'unfair' to blacks.

I seem to remember Mohammed's unit was also deployed to the Gulf from Germany. Anybody else remember that?

Put a Quran on the floor, tell each of them to step on it. Those who refuse are Muslims. After the Reconquista, Spain instituted the custom of having as the national dish a boiled pork dinner, cocido. Those who would not eat it were suspect. (Cocido madrileno is a delicious multicourse dinner, by the way.)

Muhammed was in Germany as well.

Washington Times story yesterday said the "highest levels" of the administration were involved in the decision to go after Yee. That means the White House. It may well mean the president himself. They're not going to go out on a limb without solid evidence.

Wage a war of words using black leaders like Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Jesse Jackson and other visible religious personalities who promote Islam as the religion of African-Americans while insisting Christianity is for whites only. I have no love or use for Je$$e but I've never heard him say anything like this about Islam. Where did you get that info from?

Clinton, and a military man? It simply does not compute! Aren't you forgetting Weasely Clark?

For example, there have been Sikhs and even Orthodox Jews released from active duty because of their religious beliefs. In the Sikh's case it was because he was religiously forbidden to cut his hair or beard, in the Jew's case it was because he was religiously forbidden to remove his yarmulke. Supreme Court held a Jewish military chaplain had to be allowed to wear a yarmulke.
