Forwarding this to "even-handed" Howard Dean.

To helps us understand why the Left hates Israel. The Left hates anything that is successful, and Israel is a success.

Welfare is a handout for which you get nothing in return. The US gets quite a bit in return from Israel. A reliable ally in a vital region, tech, military and intel support, to name just a few of the ways in which Israel gives back to the US. For all the dough the US gives Egypt for instance, we got Ayman Al Zawhiri, and Egyptians dancing in the street on 9-11.

Great article.
But it brings up a question...And one that might spurn resentment and flames. I hope not, it's an honest question...
This article clearly points-out that Israelis (Jews) are over-acheivers, as a group. Maybe even "Hard workers", as a group. Maybe even the "Smartest" group of people (Based on the higest level of college graduates). I could go on and on based on this article.
I can only assume these "Stereotypes" are acceptable because they are positive?
So, why aren't negative stereotypes of groups of people acceptable...If true, of course.
I'm sure my question can't be definiately answered here, and I don't mean to hijack this thread with it, but it's got me wondering...

Israel is America's greatest ally outside of Great Britian. And considering where they are located, the Middle East, maybe even a more important ally than the Brits.
They give us many things we need in return for our financial aid to them.
Your "Welfare" comment is disgusting. You sound like Pat Buchanan.

Lies, damned lies, and statistics...
I think all data can be used in an inappropriate fashion... However, I have been told that one can believe or disbelieve stereotypes... The real question is whether you treat individuals with respect or do you not even give people a chance based on a perceived stereotype (positive or negative)... What you believe is up to you... It is the actions you take because of those beliefs...

Your "Welfare" comment is disgusting. You sound like Pat Buchanan.Although I agree, I can't help but wonder whether Arafat would have been worm feed many years ago if not for Israel's reliance upon US financial support.

isn't it true that one can be jailed for freely proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Israel on the streets? they- and all midEast countries are antiChrist peoples who should not be getting our tax dollars. let them fight it out on their own. may the best men win.

Your source is a full-on Arabist, Saudi bankrolled enterprise, filled with anti-Israel swill.
They have captured the lead in so many areas of the universe, including the US political machine.
Blah blah blah. I'm surprised you didn't drag out Buchanan's "Congress is Israel-occupied territory" line. :)
